Acer aspire 4736g shut down unexpectedly

Hi there my laptop currently have some weird issues. my laptop shut down without bluescreen. It happened randomly. I dont think it should be overheating problem because i've just applied new thermal paste and keep an eye on the core temperature. The randomly shut down occurs more during starting up the laptop. It normally shuts down few time before i reach the logon screen. However, it stills shuts down when i'm in normal use like surfing the web, downloading, or even when i did nothing. windows event viewer log shows kernal-power, 41(63). besides, there's issue where my laptop cant power up using battery now. The battery still working when i start up using adapter and then take off the adapter. I'm not sure whether this two issues are related.

SOURCE: My acer aspire 5742z laptop

Hi!
Issues like this mostly caused by a program or simply a corrupted operating system updates. I would suggest we try restoring the laptop back in time when the issue is not yet present. We can achieve this by performing System Restore, if I'm not mistaken, this laptop has Windows 7. Please click on the Start button, then go to All Programs> Accessories> System Tools and then finally System Restore. Please select a date when the issue is not yet present. Then, please reboot the laptop.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: My Acer Aspire 5517 keeps shutting off...

1. Check if the air duct inlet and outlet are free and free of dust.
2. If needed, clean it with a hard brush and vacuum cleaner.
3. Check if the fan is rotating, if not replace the fan unit.
4. Check if the fan is clean of dust, if so clean it.

My computer screen turns blue and restarts window vista

Hi jjlishus,

I see you mentioned that you are having issues with you computer going into a blue screen then it restarts.

You can try to boot into safe mode to see if Windows Vista will Load without having the bluescreen and if it will not shut down or restart, from Safe Mode, try and do a system restore to a data where the problem has not happened yet.

From there-on see if the issue will still happen or no

Getting into Safemode:
restart PC keep on tapping F8 on your Keyboard this will prompt you options, Look for Safemode then press enter this should bring up the safemode screen.

If during the loading of safemode and still happens are any error show up or it goes to a blue screen, you can try going into safemode with command prompt.
to get to safemode in command prompt just do the same as ging into safemode and select safemode in command prompt.

once in the command prompt
Type CHKDSK , then press enter it should check the system for 5 mins or so depending on your PC/Laptops speed.

if still the issue is the same reformatting or restoring your windows back to defaults may fix the issue.

I hope that this will help,

My acer aspire 3680 shuts down unexpectedly only when the battery is plugged in. When I remove the battery it works fine. Is the problem with the battery or something else in my computer?

It is the battery. It is damaged, and because of that it changes the voltage of the AC. the best solution is to replace it with a new one, but until then, work without it, or you might have fried lap top
