SOURCE: Acquiring satellites

Try this and see if it fixes your problem...follow these steps.
1. Power off the unit.
2. HOLD down the power button and you will see "Pre Boot Mode" appear on the lower part of the display. KEEP HOLDING the power button down and the display will flicker, do this until the pre boot mode message disappears. This seems to take a long time (60 seconds at least).
3. Once the pre boot mode message disappears release the power button and your device will perform some activites to try recover from the problem.

Fails to acquire satellites. Garmin 310

I'm assuming you mean a Street Pilot c310. If so, here is the link to the unit software from Garmin. Download it and follow the directions. Once you connect your GPS, it will update the device software are hopefully should fix the problem with it acquiring satellites.

Garmin Nuvi takes a long time to Acquire satellite

No. 98% of the time it took 45-56 seonds for your NUVI 660. Thats the compagny set up time acquisition and it did very well.

Be sur you had your flip antenna parallel to earth surface.
660 has THE BEST SIRF Chipset for acquiring satellite.

I had 2 NUVI 660 since 2 years. It work much better than those new 7xx series who it really took 2-3 minutes to acquire satellite.

Be sure you update your version to the last one.
