Just bought a 300705u USB 2.0 model on eBay and am trying to hook it up to an iMac with both 9.2.2 and 10.1.5 OS. I have Toast with Jam V.5 loaded on the 9.2.2 OS, which is also where I wanted to load the LaCie software and burn from exclusively. The CD Utilities disc (which has "WINDOWS" printed under the title) does not seem to include software for Macs. I've opened every file and nothing resembling the install icons ID'd in the manual are evident. The folders are "Applicat", "Acrobatr", "BIN" and "Manuals". There are 4 documents: "Autorun.inf", "Laciecd.ini", "icon.icd" and "laciecd.exe". I've gone to the Lacie website, but this burner has had the serial# sticker removed and I can't get assistance without it. I've printed out the user's manual from the and it's pretty clear except it doesn't mesh with what is on the CD-ROM-namely, no install icons. The folders are "Applicat" Do I have a CD-ROM specifically for Windows? If so, where do I get Mac software? I have 2 days to get this working before the seller's warranty expires, so any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, PMoore

Thank you but the burner was returned to seller this morning. I was under a time limit and after spending over 20 hours searching for links-including numerous searches of LaCie's site-and found nothing.
I did get one other reply for help:
"LaCie manufactures garbage equipment and I have no idea how they have
maintained their reputation. Even if you had the correct software it would be
marginally workable."
I must admit this threw me until I read further down his offer to sell me the "right" burner for $129.77 so his "help" was more of a sales pitch.
But the above statement, along with my fruitless searching, helped me to decide to pack up and go for the refund. Finding Mac drivers should not be that hard. Made me wonder how much does LaCie want Mac users?
I do appreciate your help, even though I can't utilize it.
