My Dyson DC07 won't turn on!

When vacuuming today my Dyson DC07 just stopped working. I waitied thinking it was the motor that got too hot, not the problem after several hours of waiting. The cord is fine just won't turn on when I press down on the on/off button......HELP!

You may have a broken belt. Bad news regarding all Dyson's. You can't replace just the belt your self. You have to purchase a new belt assembly which includes the gears. And it wont be cheap. I would call it a design flaw but i am sure that dyson calls it a profit scheme.

Brush won't turn on dyson dc07

There was a belt that was to be attached to the motor shaft under the belt cover, be sure that it didn't pop off. the recommended fix is to replace the clutch, not the belts in the clutch. if you only replaced the belts it could still be a bad clutch.

If you need any help feel free to contact me.

My dyson dc07 won't turn on.

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

If your vacuum doesn't turn on, make sure that plug is fully inserted into a fully functional electronic outlet. If it still not turning on after verifying this, it could be that the power switch is malfuntioning. You may need to replace the power switch by opening up the handle of your vacuum. I suggest to refer to your manual on how to replace the power cord or contact Dyson for troubleshooting steps. 1-844-679-1647

My Dyson DC07 vacuum started to run slower after being on for a little while and then would run normally again. I have switched on today and it has just stopped. When I push the start button, on...

The motor running slower was the motor starting to burn out. The "almost start" is the brushes making intermittent contact with the armature in the motor.
Your machine needs a new motor Pam.

Dyson DC07 switched off whilst hoovering, It would not turn on, 1st it stopped rotating brush and than tuned off completly.. I tried ttoi change the fuse but still not turn on. Motor not runnung either.

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

Our machines are fitted with a thermal cutout switch. This will activate if the motor on your machine becomes too hot. This is caused by a lack of airflow to the motor, which is caused by a dirty filter or a blockage. Leave your machine for up to 2 hours, if it then switches back on, this is the most likely cause of the problem you are experiencing. Try washing your filter and checking for blockages.

If the problem continues, please contact our Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK) or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards
Darran

Dyson

the automatic cut out switch on the motor needs replacing when the motor gets hot this switch comes in and stops the motor from overheating when the motor cools down the cleaner will work again and cut out again when the motor gets hot if it is not replaced it will eventually burn the motor out after the switch has been replaced both the filter and cyclone need to be cleaned on a regular basis or the same will happen again

Keeps turning off

How is the suction at the hose? If low then you still have a clog which will cause the motor to overheat. Otherwise you may have a motor going bad.

Dyson DC07 burning smell.

sounds like it is on the way out this may be because 1, you need to clean the filter cos when its dirty it stop air from going around the motor witch makes it get hot and overheat 2, also if you allow the bin to get to full this will also stop the motor from geting air to it so a good clean on your filter and bin will allow air to the motor then no overheating should accur
