SOME CAMERAS NEED TO HAVE THE RIGHT USB ADAPTER TO INSTALL YOUR PICTURES. YOU CAN BUY THE UNIVERSAL ADAPTERS PRETTY CHEAP AT ANY CVS, WALGREENS, WALMART ETC,.
I WOULD SUGGEST SAVING ALL YOUR PICTURES TO YOUR MEMORY CARD THEN TAKING YOUR MEMORY CARD OUT OF YOUR CAMERA AND SLIP IT INTO YOUR CARD READER SLOT ON YOUR COMPUTER...THE COMPUTER WILL ASK YOU WHERE YOU WHERE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAVE YOUR PIC'S, THEN PICK WHAT FILE YOU WICH.
ANOTHER OPTION WOULD BE SAVE YOU PIC'S ON YOUR MEMORY CARD AND TAKE IT TO CVS AND SAVE ON A DISK, THEN INSTALL YOUR DISK INTO YOUR COMPUTER AND SAVE YOUR PIC'S THAT WAY. CVS HAS SPECIALS WEEKLY ON PICTURE'S IDEA'S AND IT IS A COST VERY LOW COST SAVING WAY OF SAVING YOU VALUABLE PIC'S , PLUS YOU CAN ADD MUSIC IF YOU WISH TO YOUR PIC'S SAVED ON A DISK. THE DISK IS PROVIDED BY CVS.
YOU JUST NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR PIC'S ON YOUR MEMORY CARD FIRST!
Connect the camera to a PC and download a few pictures. Or remove the SDcard and insert it in a USB card reader. If pics are black also it's a problem with the CCD chip and connected electronics.
If there's a clean picture it's a display problem. Display replacement is quite a micro mechanical feat - but can be done. Displays can be taken from dead camera's saving a few.
restart your camera and going on camera mode. hold the camera button down for few seconds so instead in camera mode,it goes into video mode. take a video and save it you can also take a picture, switch back to the camera mode and test it.
Possible malwares or corrupt files on the card that is not allowing it to be downloaded, please check this card with another PC to confirm, if so use a search mode and detect all the files to be saved , then format off the memory card.
Also make sure that the photo album does not contain any corrupt files that is rejecting the card.
You've subjected the card to two different operating systems. You need to decide on one. If it's the camera, then download any pics you want to save from the card...then with the card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.
I've had similar problems with other cameras. The problem is not the camera, however, it is the sim card. If you remove the sim card and place it in the card reader on the computer, the contacts on the card eventually wear out. What it sounds like is that your new pics were not saved to the card due to poor contact. If this is the case, unfortunately, nothing is recoverable as nothing was saved. A possible short term fix is to remove the sim card and scrub the contacts with a pencil eraser. A long term solution is to get a new sim card and leave it in the camera and transfer pics using a USB connection from the camera to your computer. I hope this helps.
those pics that youve saved are still there in the memory stick. the camera though, im no so sure if its retreiveable. even if you dried it, you said that it still wont work. what you can do for your camera is bring it to the service center and have it looked. your memory stick will work though if you cn\onnect it to a card reader/writer and have those pics saved to a media like cd or save it to your computer.
