My motorola H700 keeps staying red when charging

My Motorola won't charge. It stays red when plugged in. Any suggestions? Is it broken?

I had the same problem with my H700. I left it on the charger overnight and it was still red the next day. Before I tossed it, I decided to try discharging the battery completely by leaving the mic boom in the open position overnight even though the blue light wasn't coming on. After doing this I put it back on the charger and it charged properly. It's been working fine ever since.

Wait, how long have you waited for it to charge? It's supposed to stay red until over 80% charge, then switch to yellow. When it is fully charged, it goes to green. When you mean it stays red when plugged in, have you waited the 2 hours?

I have a h700 bluethooth and dont have a manual. what color should the light be when connecting to the phone, in use, and charging.

The indicator turns red when charging and turns green when fully charged. The headset will flash in purple when it is in discovery mode (mode where it is looking for a device to be paired with it). If it has already been paired with a device it is blue and then flashes blue when it is paired. The link for the manual is below. http://www.motorola.com/mdirect/manuals/QG-H700_9499A88O.pdf

H700 Motorola BT earpeice, no indicator lights aside from a green

Same thing happened to me. I call the support center and if you bought it from a 3rd party, it is probably a software problem. See if you can get a new one or buy it elsewhere.

Motorola H700 charge issues

The rechargeable battery may have reached it's limit of recharges. You can try leaving it on until you no longer see life (any light) coming from the H700. You want to drain it completely. Than charge it, (take note of how long it takes to reach full). If it dies like before in 15 minutes than the H700 is dead. You can take it to a Motorola store & might be able to exchange it for less than you first bought it. Or you can go here (Click the link) for a new one. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/search.asp?keywords=Motorola+H700&image12.x=13&image12.y=15

Luck!

Pairing h700

try pressing firmly against the hinge area, press the call button until the purple light comes on, then open the boom with still pressing firmly on the hinge. Keep holding firmly and the purple light should stay on while you pair

Trouble connecting h700 to phone

First: When charging the light should be steady. If the battery is less than 20% charged it should be red. More than 20% it will be yellow. Fully charged it should be green. Make sure your microphone is closed when charging.

Second: Have you "Paired" the H700 and the phone? If not you need to. To put the H700 into "Pairing Mode" do this:

Make sure the H700s microphone are is in the off position. Push in and hold the button on the H700 until the light lights up purple. Release the button and quickly open the microphone button. The light will stay purple and you are now in "Pairing Mode". Now follow the instructions for your phone to pair with a BlueTooth unit. When it asks for a code, use 0000 (that is 4 zeros).

Your phone and H700 should now be connected.

Hope this helps a bunch!!!
