Replace light bulb on the Neff H7871 combined oven and microwave.

The bulb is positioned at the top of the oven, accessible only from the outside. You'll need to pull off the top and bottom trim strips, remove the bottom trim strip locators, remove 2 fixing screws from the left edge of the oven (with door open), and the 2 fixing screws from behind the top trim strip. The oven should then just slide out. You only need to pull it out 6 inches or so to gain access to the bulb cover. You'll need a T20 driver to remove the cover, then the bulb unscrews as it has an SES fitting. Bob

Neff microwave turns and lights when started but doesn't heat

check on rating plate if fd number starts with a 7 or 8 eg fd 7908 then appliance will need mag leads recrimping they oxidise over time and break connection giving syptoms that you describe, its an easy fix but you need to remove outer casing.

Bulb non working how do you get to the bulb

you have to remove outer casing to get at it dependant on model this will make it visible some are tucked away beneath several heat shields and requires a lot of components removed to access.

H7881 Neff Microwave Light Bulb type

go to the NEFF spares area here: http://bshappliancecare.com/Neff/neffspares.html at BSHAppliancecare - if you an locate the FD or E-Nr inside the appliance door then you are laughing. The site's a doddle to use. It should have exploded diagrams and part numbers to look up - and order. The prices seem to be fantastic for the replacements I've made (oven and fridge seals)

Neff Combined oven and microwave

If there's no obvious removable cover over the bulb (and the owner's manual doesn't address it) some disassembly may be required.

Always unplug a microwave before removing or installing any bulbs.

If it's an over the range type, remove the vent grille across the top and see if bulbs can be accessed there. There may be a panel on the bottom covering the light(s), instead.

If not, chances are you'll have to remove it from the wall, then remove the outer cover. If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

Once it's out of the wall, the outer cover (wrapper) will need to be removed, just as you'll need to do on a counter top model.

On a counter top model, be sure it's unplugged, but otherwise ignore the instructions above this paragraph.

The screws you need to remove should be pretty obvious, but a special driver (such as a T20H type or GTXH20-100) may be needed.

Be sure to put all the screws back in the right holes, since some may be special grounding screws.

Bulbs can be had in most grocery stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, and big box or department stores.

Many models use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

I have a Neff Microwave/Oven/Grill combo. The grill and the oven parts still work, but the clock has gone off and the microwave part does not work. What can i do to fix this?? Thanks

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a few minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

Let us know if the hard reset doesn't fix it.
