Epson Stylus SX115 not starting

Hi there
The easiest way is from the Maintenance tab of the monitoring software that comes with the printer. I don't know of any way to align heads from the buttons.
If you right click on the printer icon on the task bar, then a menu will come up and you can then click on the "Head alignment " and work from there. Alternatively bring up the "Devices and Printers" in Control Panel and under Printer Management click on "Adjust print options and then the maintenance tab on the window that comes up.

I know this post is old, but I have the same problem with SX 115.
Have you, tower903 (or anyone) solved this problem and how?

Note: take all ink cardriges out. they dont need them.

Check there is no foreign objects in the way of the print head. Check the encoder strip is clean and in tact. Ensure the print head can both leave and return to the home position easily. Check that the head lock is retracting when power is turned on.

unless the head come to a halt during initialization process, upon turning on your printer there is no way you will be able to print, please check for any obstruction on the printer head, the grinding sound is an indicator that the head is trying to reach its position and was having trouble. or it could be a damaged belt that you need to replaced
