If your hand control looks to be in good condition, cords and all with no spills on it or such, then it is most probably the junction box that needs replacing.

With Golden Technologies chairs, there is a self diagnostic system. There are LED lights at the transformer and the hand control. If you do have have lights at the transformer, it may be a power issue or a bad transformer. If you have lights at the transformer but not the hand control, it is the hand control. Since you state you ahve lights on the hand control, it is probably a motor issue.

The best thing you can do is call the store which sold you the chair or call Golden directly at 1-800-624-6374. While they do not sell directly to the public, they can point you to a local dealer who can help with the repair.
