This is commonly caused by a leaking water pump, or the hoses attached to the pump. The following link explains how to access the interior of the washer to inspect for leaks:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r397092-replacing_water_pump

This link explains how to replace the water pump if that is the case. Keep in mind, these pumps are sealed units and are not serviceable. If the pump is leaking, or not functioning, it needs to be replaced. in addition, double check all hose connections to the pump (there usually two hoses) and make sure there are no cracks or holes. Make sure the hose clamps are secured properly. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you require additional assistance.

My kenmore washer molel 110-82873120 is leeking from the top.

Dear R.A.,
If your washer is leaking you should first check the hoses.
  • There are several types of hoses found on a washing machine and the most common are the drain and fill hoses.
  • The fill hoses connect the household supply to the water inlet valve and are normally located at the rear of the washer. Check to make sure that the threaded fittings are tightened securely and that the leak is not caused by the faucet.
  • The drain hose is also located at the rear of the machine and may not be properly installed into the household drain. Verify that the leak is not caused by a restricted household drain that is backing up through the stand pipe.
  • Washers will also have internal hoses that connect the inlet valve to the tub. A defect in this hose would create a leak during the fill cycle.
  • Access the tub inlet by lifting the main top or removing the cabinet and inspect the hoses for signs of abrasion or cracking.
  • Also inspect the other components of the water inlet system such as a siphon break or tub injection assembly for signs of a leak. Check for loose or corroded clamps, and cracked or perforated hoses.
  • Your inlet Valves may also be totally defective and cause the washer to overfill therefore causing a leak over the top.
  • Check for the tub Pressure switch assembly may be defective causing such leak.
  • Your model requires removing the complete cabinet.(front and sides come out as on piece) Here a link to all your machine parts
I think we cover all the possibilities.
Best of Luck,
JP

It could be a dry rot hose or the pump could be leaking might be an easy fix it depends whether you want to repair it or spend allot of money on a new dryer are u pretty handy i could assist you on how to fix it .

How do I get the front off of Kenmore 24962 washer

You may not need to remove the front. Unplug the washer and remove the control panel (there will be some screws set in the trim at the bottom front of the control panel and some more in the upper back corners). The panel should lift off about a half-inch. You may be able to see the fill valves through the hole where the wiring harness goes up to the control panel. If you can see them, start a fill cycle and watch for stray drips or spraying (lime streaks, corrosion or wet spots on the outside are also evidence of the leak location). If you can also see the hose going from the tub to the water level switch, check that.

Some washers have removable backs; others require removing the top before you can get the front off. Still others have a narrow panel at the bottom front that comes off by removing several screws down near the floor or at the top of the panel (often matches the corresponding panel underneath the door of a front load dryer in a set). On most washers, the front and side panels are one piece of metal, so you have to remove all of the other covers to get it off and you probably will have to tip the machine in order to get at screws in the bottom. In other words, unless you are one of the lucky people with the panel at the bottom front, look for an easier place to watch for the leak.

My Whirlpool ultimate care is leaking under,I did check the hoses and they are okey. What could be the problem?.

Can you describe where the leak may becoming from? For example, near the front, from under the washer, or near the back.

If you notice a pool of water coming from under the washer near the FRONT, this is commonly caused by a leaking water pump. Since these pumps are sealed units and are considered non-serviceable, it must be replaced. They cannot be resealed or "fixed".

If the leak appears to be leaking from under the washer near the CENTER of the tub, either the tub seal is leaking or the air dome hose may have come loose. If the tub seal is leaking, it also must be replaced. If the air dome hose comes loose, however, the washer will never fill up all the way and will continuously run. This will cause a flood rather than a drip.

If the leak is coming from the REAR of the washer, this can be caused by cracked fill hoses, loose fill hose connections, a leaking drain hose, or a fill valve hose leaking.

Since you said you checked your hoses, I suspect a water pump, or something loose. Can you please confirm your symptoms and let me know?

Kenmore top loading washer model 110-24962301

the drain hose connects to the pump with a flexible coupling about 2inches behind the front case. to check
Remove console
  • remove edge trims from console
  • remove phillips head screws from corners of console(under trims)
  • slide console forward, lift up flip over
remove body/case
  • remove body retain clips from under console(not how they fit for reassembly)
  • remove lid switch connector
  • lift body ~1 inch slide forward and off
pump and entire workings are visible, leak site should be visible at the hoses couplings etc

Kenmore 110-91564100 Top Load Washer Problem

Sounds like my 91 Geo Merto LOL! Anywho when it washes the pump spins one way and water is basically thrown back into the tub, then when on spin it spins in the opposite direction and if there is a hose leak past the pump or the pump itself leaks it will come out of the drain system. As for the thump, check under the unit for anything that shouldnt be under there getting caught up in the mechanics. Let us know :-)
