Go to settings, General, blue tooth and remove any "other" previous paired BT devices & Turn off BT, then go to Sett. General, scroll down to reset and reset network settings, this will not delete anything. Power off BT speaker. after iPad re-boots turn on BT Speaker First, make sure BT is off on iPad as well as WIFI-wait like 10-15 seconds and then turn BT on in iPad it should see your speaker now and let you pair it up.

I can't get my jams hdmx speaker to pair with my iPad Pro. The speaker will not even list under "my devices."

If you can, erase the memory on the speaker and mark each Bluetooth listing on the iPad to Forget This Device. Do not be around any other Bluetooth devices. Turn your speaker and iPad off and back on. Let them discover like 1st time. Try again. Patience. Sometimes takes 20 to 30 min. RJ

How do I pair my I Pad with my new Philips portable speaker using bluetooth ( can connect fine using a cable)

If your portable speaker is Bluetooth-enabled, here is the general procedure:

1. Press and hold the function control button on the speaker until you see red and blue lights flashing in rapid succession on the speaker (the speaker is now in "pairing" mode).
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your iPad and then tap on Scan. iPad will begin scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices. When you see a name similar to that of your speaker, tap on it . You will be asked for a passcode/passkey to pair the iPad with the speaker. Enter '0000' or '1234' (without the quotes).
3. Once the passkey is accepted, the two devices are now paired. The light on the speaker should become a steady blue.
4. On the iPad, tap on Connect. If the iPad connects to the speaker, you will see Connected. You are done. Play some music from the iPad to see if you can hear it coming through the speaker.

You should have this procedure detailed in the set up guide that came with the speaker. Please note that pairing is required only for the first time you try to connect the two devices, to get them "acquainted" to each other. After that, all you need is to connect the iPad to the speaker every time you want to listen to your iPad through the speaker.

How to get bluetooth speaker to connect already apired and is showing but wont connect

Hello, I have already met this issue: after pairing a bluetooth speaker on a first host (computer or iPad), then pairing it on a second device (as another computer for example), when I try to pair it again to its original host device, it doesn't work.
The solution consist in
1) on the host computer, in the list of the Bluetooth devices, delete the line of the bluetooth speaker and forget this bluetooth device,
2) push on the Bluetooth detect button on Bluetooth speaker,
3) scan the bluetooth devices on your computer host, and when you see the bluetooth speaker in the list, select it.

My speaker does not connect to my ipad

The speaker has to be paired with your iPad before it will work. Check your documentation on how to put your speaker in "discoverable" mode long enough for the iPad to find it. If you have previously paired your speaker and it at one time did function is your iPad, make sure that Bluetooth is turned on on the iPad. Also, check the batteries on the speaker if it has previously functioned with your iPad...

I have a JBL wireless flip speaker and even after reading the so-called manual, I have absolutely NO idea how to use it . My iPad has blue tooth capability but,I,don,t even know what, exactly is Bluetooth...

Once you put the JBL speaker on, turn on bluetooth on your ipad, search for bluetooth device, it takes a few minutes sometime to locate your speaker, once you see your speaker listed in the bluetooth device, click on the device. IT will connect but at times it might ask for a PIN.

First, in order to pair the iPad to a Bluetooth device you need to make sure the Bluetooth device is discoverable. Refer to the instruction manual for the device (which you can find online usually if you lost it) on how to do this. Typically, it just involves holding down a button for a few seconds. Next, you need to turn the iPad's Bluetooth capability on. Go to Settings by touching the Settings App icon that looks like gears. Within Settings, select General and then Bluetooth. Once you are in the Bluetooth screen, press the on/off switch to turn Bluetooth on. Make sure it reads "on".
