Getting video form dav-dx to older sanyo TV with an S-video jack

I have a Sony DAV-dx155 cd/dvd player and a 2003 Sanyo 36 inch TV Model DS31520. I have satellite cable hooked directly to the TV and get good sound thru the home theater system via audio-out. I can not seem to get the picture from the DVD player to the TV on either channel 03 or 04 even though I have the S-video jack connected to both the S-video out on the DVD player and to the S-video input on the TV. A channel search on the TV finds nothing. There is no connector for any S-video control link. What can I do?

Check what is input number of S-Video in TV and select that av input with TV remote.

how many S-Video input connectors in your TV? let say it has only one, even though it would have a number like 1, 2 or 3

It can't be done. The Sanyo remote is for a standalone VCR - DVD recorder. It has no programming capabilities.

Your Sony DAV-DZ330 will play DVD video to your TV via HDMI (preferred method) or via SCART (analog video and sound) but you will not be able to connect another video player into your Sony since it does not have any video inputs.

yes u can connect an externel dvd player to your sony dav s 500...

you have

composite video input X 1 and

analog input X 1.

so you can connect the RC output pins of externel dvd player to the input of composite video and analog left and right audio inputs to the SONY DAV S500.

NO color output

DAV-DZ3k is a good sony product especially ...famous for book shelf speakers,the problem is basically due to the cables used to connect video terminals or the TVcircuits is not proper with the av receiver.. Thank you Regards Sambhu Dayal
