Need staples for my Swingline Heavy Duty Tacker #800

I have an old Swingline Heavy Duty Tacker #800. I need 3/8" staples for it but Swingline says they discontinued the tacker and the staples in 2003. They also said you sold a staple that would work with it. Do you have a staple that will work with my Swingline Heavy Duty Tacker #800? It says it takes an 806 Swingline staple.

THANKS!

If you can find Arrow brand staples - 60x30 series staples are interchangable with the old Swingline 8xx staples, sizes as follows:
Arrow 60430 = 1/4"
Arrow 60530 = 5/16"
Arrow 60630 = 3/8"
Arrow 60830 = 1/2"

I above Arrow brand replacement information was very helpful. I also looked online at Ace Hardware and found that their namebrand (Ace) works on many heavy duty staples. For my Swingline 800 tacker, I bought Ace item #22276 and it works perfectly! I also appreciated that the box lists so many compatible staple gun models that the staples work on. Check it out....Thanks Ace Hardware!

I have 8 boxes of 1/4" staples, 1000 staples per box, and I haven't an 800 or 900 staple gun, so I'd like either an 800 or 900 Swingline staple gun or for someone to buy my staples.

or sell my gun

  • Jo Ann Jul 23, 2014

Your Swingline model 800 will work with the Surebonder #5 staple. Go to www.amazon.com and search for FPC CORPORATION #5 STAPLE. Make sure that the description states Surebonder #5 staple. They are available in 5 leg lengths. Swingline in Long Island has closed their doors. Their calls are now taken by Acco Products. They are now a subsidiary of Acco Products, Acco Products does not carry staples for the Swingline staple guns and Swingline staple guns are now manufactured over seas. I hope this helps you.

Swingline optima 40 how do you open and close the stapler?

Swingline heavy duty staplers provide the power to staple up to 120 pages of 20-lb. paper easily and consistently. The all-metal construction of these staplers makes them an indispensible office tool. However, the way to load staples into a Swingline heavy duty stapler differs from the method for loading most other manual staplers and can cause a little confusion.
Difficulty:Easy Instructions

    • 1 Remove the follow block at the back of the stapler by pushing the mechanism in, lifting the block up over the holding hooks and sliding it out from the stapler. The follow block is the spring-loaded mechanism that holds the staples in place within the stapler.
    • 2 Load the heavy-duty staples into the staple tray.
    • 3 Replace the follow block by inserting it back into the stapler and locking it into place over the holding hooks.

Where can I buy staples for a Swingline Heavy Duty Tacker # 800

A search for staples for this model came up with several sources. Here's one and here's another as samples. In general, it looks like you need Swingline series 600 staples. You may be able to find them locally at big-box home places or Sears.

Hello. I have a model #1000 Swingline Power Gun. It says, the extra heavy duty staple gun on the handle. I would like to purchase a box of 1/4" and 3/8" staples. The gun is so old I don't know the new...

Went to the local hardware and read the labels. The store brand fit and works as good as the original staples. The 1000 has outlasted several of the new fashion staplers. And the local hardware store is an Ace Hardware.
