I added rinse aid some time ago and the gage still Sosa full. Also my clear glasses are getting a film. How can I fix it?
I am going to suggest you fill your rinse aid compartment to the top with cleaning vinegar (6% dilution, stronger than regular vinegar). Leave the door open about 5 minutes. Close the door for 5 more minutes. This will unclog the the dispenser of minerals and rinse aid goop. Then adjust the amount to "maximum amount" to drain the dirty vinegar out in a few washes. Also note, vinegar works instead of "jet dry" by disintegration of the minerals in water and the detergent. Its also cheaper and natural.
Not sure about the rinse agent but the film is caused by hard water.
The problem is hard water. www.dishwasherfilter.com has a
product to solve this problem once and for all. It filters the water going into
your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that leave those spots. It is
very affordable and even has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your
dishes look with this product.
