I recently started using my Olympus C-3030 for work which requires that my printed pic's display a time and date stamp. I have read the owners manual over and over and can not seem to figure out how to display the time and date on printed pic's when needed? (not all the time). Anyone know how to set the time and date to display on my prints?
The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every image. Any photo printing program should have an option for printing the date and time on the picture (or in the margin or even on the back if the printer is two-sided).

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.
I had the same problem. I wanted to set my Olympus C5000 Zoom to automatically date stamp photos. After going through the entire manual, I had to call Olympus directly. They told me that none of their cameras have an internal date stamp feature. They said that the date stamp lowers the quality of the picture, so they choose not to have the feature available. However, you can manually add the date and time stamp through the software that comes with the camera, just before you print the pictures. Hope that helps...
if you need help with that manual go to http://www.olympus.co.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/download/manual/ and get our off the list. It is on there!!! about the middle of the page.
By default Olympus cameras do not print the date on the images when they are downloaded to a PC. Olympus does not include this functionality because they feel that it detracts from image quality. There is a function of the camera called print order that you can set that it will print the date on the images but this is only if you take the card to a photo processing store. However if you use the Olympus Master software and print the images that you have previously transferred there is a check box in the print setting window that you can add the date and or time to the printed image.

Well, not really a solution. More like clarification. Olympus does not provide a date/time stamp on pics taken with this camera (f310/x840), so, no solution, just knowledge....

No, the date/time stamp is now part of the image. The only way to get rid of it is to Photoshop it, but 250 photos... Let me look at my manual, as mine never prints the date/time.
