DVD DOOR WILL NOT OPEN YOU CAN HEAR DVD TRY TO OPEN

Unplug it for a minute or so. Maybe it just needs to reset.

There is a small belt under the loading tray which would have gone slack ( loose ) and the sound you hear is it slipping on the motor pulley. If you are confident you can remove the mechanism and turn it upside down and access this belt. Dismantle only if you can get the spare belt or your efforts will be in vain.

When you press the eject button you should hear the loading motor engage trying to open the dvd door, if you hear the motor! it indicates a bad loading belt that is stretched or direct drive gear problem, either way dis-assembly will be required to take a shot at repair.

there is a small hole in front of the dvd drive that you put a paper clip into and push it to open the door it should pop out make sure it goes in far enough

None of those options worked for me. I had to remove the single screw on top of the camera. Then slide the silver top panel forward to remove it. Then remove the dark panel where the screw was removed. Then you should see a small metal piece very close to the DVD door opening that is holding it closed. Slowly nudge it forward to unlatch the door. This allowed me to open the door to remove the DVD. Unfortunately I still have to do this every time to get the door open. I may try some lubricant on the metal to prevent sticking.

there's a tiny hole near the drive door. stick a straight pin or paper clip in it and push. it will pop open enough for u to grab it

With your ear next to tv do you hear the sound of a motor trying to open the dvd door. If so probaly a plastic gear that has failed that opens the dvd door otherwise could be the motor. Just go buy a $30 dvd player and connect to the tv input. not worth repairing and stay away from tv/dvd combos in the future for this reason that your having to expierence now.

yes frn this is happen due to the jam in the DVD rom. when you press the eject button put one pin in the hole that is just below the eject button. so that you can eject your DVD. or just hit the cd ROM slowly. 

I had the same problem. I replaced the small belt with a rubberband and it worked.

belt is loose or gear is broke, if out of warranty you can try to force it or open the cover and see if you can push the door.
