On the test pg. This half line print shows itself every six lines. Does this sound like a roller problem. Where can one obtain a cleaning kit. Where do I obtain instructions for accessing the rollers. Thanks much. Jolothomas

Your printer cogs may be damaged or your paper rollers could be slipping resulting in this "odd" output.

Paper rollers can be cleaned with an appropriate cleaning kit but if the cogs are damaged it's not worth repairing.

Just to follow up... Given that the CX6600 is now rather old and in my professional opinion a real ink waster, I'd recommend looking at a refurbished model or a new printer.

A roller cleaning kit may work but it may also waste time and money and it's such a difficult problem to nail down I'd save your time, cash and sanity and move on.

    Best of luck..

Prints half page

Printing half a page with an Inkjet machine is not normally a computer issue. So windows 10 would not normally have any effect on the printing for a printer that has been accepted by the Windows 10 Operating System. If there was an issue in the software it would be printing gibberish or not printing at all.

Printing half a page is quite possably something stuck in the printer stopping the ink from getting to that half a page if it is printing down once side but not the other.
Printing half a page being that the top half is printed but not the bottom half (Or the other way around) it could be an air bubble in the feed line which can be cleared with a printhead clean or two.
Printing half a line rather than a full line such as the top half of each letter is clear but the bottom half of each letter is not visable is a blocked printhead. A couple of printhead cleans can also fix this.
Also check to see if the printer is not confused and actually has empty cartridges even if the printer thinks they are full. Brother printers can easily get confused about ink levels. If the cartridges are actually empty, replace them and away it should go again.

Hope that helps

Hp deskjet 5550 printing only a few lines per page

The printer driver is corrupt. Uninstall it from the computer before trying to reinstall the driver. If you don't have the driver CD you can go to HP's website and download it.

WHEN TYPING A HALF SPACE IS SKIPPED OCCASIONALLY AND WILL NOT CORRECT THE LETTER TYPED, IS THE LETTER WHEEL REPLACABLE?

To answer your question yes the print wheel can be changed, BUT that is not your problem. The machine needs to be reset or the reset tab needs adjusting.

Background;

When you turn on the machine the print head moves to the right side, the print wheel spins, and the ribbon jumps up and down, that is the machine resetting its self.

I would

  1. Power it off and then turn it back on and test to again.
  2. If it's still typing the wrong or unreadable letters then turn off the power open the lid. On the bottom of the case there is a metal frame on the right side of the frame you will see a small metal tab pointing towards the print head.
    1. (When the machine resets its self, it uses that tab as a reference.)
  3. That tab is easily bent which causes the reset to be wrong. Most people can bend it by hand, DON'T use a pliers! The tab can break off completely. It doesn

The top half of letters on certain lines of print are offset by about half a letter space from the bottm half of the letters. Usually but not always the same lines. help please

This usually indicates a need for a new print cartridge or the printer head is dirty. You can run the automatic printer cleaning utilities. Note: do them several times.
Also, if you are a little handy, use Qtips and rubbing alcohol and clean the print head.

Ink problem

I had the same problem. This is what The Geek Squad recommended:
1) Make sure your ink cartridge isn't low.
2) Go to Setup on the printer, choose Tools, then choose Clean Print Cartridges
3) Then, go back to Tools and choose Align Print Cartridges

This worked for me -- good luck

I have a Canon S330 printer which I have had for over five years and it has always been extremely reliable. However, very recently, it has not been printing so well. I typed a full page A4 letter yesterday...

it could be that the page lenght or papaersize is incorrect, you could try to adjust the paper size to A4 / letter size depending on the paper that is standard
