SOURCE: ASUS EEE PC wireless problem

There is a great program called Network Magic that will configure your wired and wireless connections with absolute ease. ALthough it is not a free program, you can use it to sonfigure everything and after the initial 7 day (used to be 30 day) free trial, it will ask you to purchase. You can easily uninstall it through add/remove programs in Control Panel. If you choose to uninstall it, it will not undo the connections it has made, and will not leave any residual program information in your computer. You may decide to keep it though. It is a great program that will keep you informed of many network functions, as well as help with your network security. It will even tell you when others have wirelessly logged on to your network and allow you to create barriers against this. You can find it here: http://www.purenetworks.com/download/thankyou.php

How I fix a network adapter on a ASUS M5200A laptop

A couple of things you can try is disabling and re-enabling the adapter by going to Control Panel>Network and Internet or Network and Sharing Center (depending on your view)>Network and Sharing (if you had to click on Network and Internet first)>change adapter settings>right click on your wireless adapter and click disable>then right click on the adapter again and click enable. If this doesn't work try removing the adapter and re-add it by clicking Start>right click computer or This PC>click manage>click Device Manager>click the triangle next to network adapters to expand the list>right click on the network adapter in question and click Uninstall (In the box that pops up make sure the check box for delete drivers is UNCHECKED). Once uninstalled right click at the top of the list which will be your computer name, then click scan for hardware changes. This will re-install the network adapter.

If the problem is with the computer, in the Tray Notification Area, right click on wireless icon and open Network Sharing Center, click on Change Adapter Settings, Is the wireless adapter enabled? In Device Manager, Network Adapters, Is the wireless enabled? Reboot the computer and the wireless access point by removing power and battery and plug in wireless, let it run the selftest, plug in computer and boot normally. You can always Reset the wireless access point to default settings

I have an ASUS U52F laptop and I am on a homegroup, I keep getting the message No connections are available, please help.

There's a few things that could be the cause but the first thing you ALWAYS want to check on a laptop with network connection problems is that the wireless switch is in the on position. It should be located on the left side of your laptop if it's facing you. Here is a picture if you still need help to find it.an0n0mus_2.jpg

I was having problems connecting to a network, somehow I hit disable and now it seems dead, I went into the icon and it says no card found, no lights nothing, how do I bring it back re- enable it

Assuming you're in Windows, Hit the start button, right-click computer/my computer, hit manage.

This will bring you to the computer management console. Open the Device Manager from the left pane.

Expand the "Network Adapters" option listed. From here, you can enable/disable your Network Card or check for up to date drivers.
