It has high idlel for few months now. i changed the clutch fan thinking that could be it. it only does it in park it seems. few weeks ago i washed the engine compartment and with compressed air blew it dry. then i sprayed lube spray on the entire engine, lines,, wires, hoses,. everything . few days later..started it up and the high idle was gone. now the high idle is back and i am wondering has anyone else had this problem

is the radiator fan coming on and staying on, or not coming on at all?? i was having the same problem, and it turned out to be a fan relay switch which was pretty easy to replace. around 40 bucks, and maybe 30-45 mins.

check your throttle position sensor and idle air control solenoid.

If you haven't changed the plugs or had the fuel system cleaned, now would be a good time to do it. The number 1 culprit for rough idles is dirty injectors or plugs. You can try an injector cleaner in a can (or bottle) for under $10 and see if it helps, and then work from there. If there isn't any improvement then if you are able to, check the plugs for any gunky buildup and if you find a bad plug, make sure you replace them all (or have them replaced) at the same time.
SOURCE: 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee squeaking and power steering
The squeaking is definately from the belts.
Have you tried adjusting them ?
Since now the power steering has failed it could be due to the power steering pump bearings, may be tight to rotate and thus the squeaking noise, or you may just need to replace the belts.
WD-40 wouldnt work permanently..try using STP belt dresser.
Hope this helps!
