I dropped my game and it has a chip on the corner, sometimes if I keep loading it in the xbox it will play, but majority of the time, i get an error screen. can i do anything to fix it?
For the most part no. but if you have a modded 360 you may use the alcohol 120 utility and create an image of the game and burn the image back on a dvd and play it. you can also try contacting the manufacturing co. for the game and see if they have some kind of replacement options considering that the xbox has KCI problems of scratching the games.

To me it sounds like you are having a DSL problem. If you are not up to calling your ISP for a trouble call, try playing at a friends house with your console and see if the problem happens there also. If it has no problems, then you know your console is not the culprit. You could also try connecting directly to your modem and bypassing the router for testing purposes. If a direct connect to modem works, then look at your router.
Linksys is PnP with Live. You should not have to open any ports. If you get to the point during troubleshooting that you know for sure it is your router, reset it to default settings.
well, it must be a problem with your game files, because most loading processes are done by the Installed game files . if other blu-ray games are running well, i guess you don't need to worry about the lens .
please try:
Reinstalling all your game data files
Reupdating your system firmware via USB Device (download the update from Playstation Website)
Restoring your system (don't forget to backup all your important files !!)
else, contact Sony support centre for possible hardware issues checking (i belive there isn't anything wrong with your ram or gpu units....)
sounds like the same problem i was haveing i was playing cod waw and i got little white dots all over the screen and i turned it off then back on and i had rrod it could be the a/v cord or its the A.N.E chip if its the chip your screwed cuz its unreplaceible you will need a new xbox if you get 3 red lights you can send it to m.s. good luck!!
if it doesnt play any games this could possibly be that your laser is shot.if you play lots of dvds sometimes that burns the laser out.or if its been dropped it could just simply need adjusted.
