How to fix the door of microwave - Electrolux EMS2487X Convection Microwave Oven

Doors for microwave ovens are usually replaced as a complete item.
I would ask the person who forgot to fix the door latches properly back to fix it properly.
If some of the clips were snapped off when removing the door panel, the panel must be replaced or it will fall out again.

Microwave doors are normally glued together, and can't be repaired. You just replace the door. According to this the door is not available, so unless you can find a door in stock somewhere else, or direct from Dometic, you have to replace the whole microwave.

Unplug it and take the cover off, You should be able to see the door switches. There are more than one. Check to see if they are tight.

Its not real good as it could shatter if door closed hard and there to protect against microwave radiation on the front.

A repair shop who looks at this will know first if door can be opened up and fixed or the door will have to be replaced.

It sounds like the door switch is bad. It may be that the switch is shorted inside. I would think it may really run with the door open, and microwave you.

Took it to a repair shop ,cannot be fixed ,no parts discontinued microwave.

You can find the parts at a GE appl.dealer.
