Go onto another computer website and get a newer version or buy a cheap upgrade version off eBay .

Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft. You have to install a newer version.

SOURCE: Unable to start in Safe Mode with Command Prompt in XP Media Center 2005

Hi there. My name is Alex and I am here to help solve this problem

Depending if the BIOS has legacy USB support for keyboard and mouse enabled, you should be able to run safe mode by pressing F8 before the computer boots into windows. I would not recommend going into the BIOS if you do not have much knowledge to the computer as one wrong configuration could cause some behaviour problems or even damage to the pc's components

I recommend connecting a keyboard and mouse that have cable and the PS/2 connectors (purple and green) which can be found at back of the computer at the top. Then restart your computer, hold down F8 and you will be able to run safe mode. The mouse and keyboard will then work

Keep both the keyboard and mouse plugged in and boot windows. When you get into windows, plug in the USB keyboard and mouse into a USB slot and wait whilst it detects it. After a couple of minutes you should be able to use your USB mouse and keyboard and take out the PS/2 keyboard and mouse

I hope this has helped. Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance.

It requires at least 2 gb ram and c2 duo or higher. Be sure you have that min with your pc. next you need windows cd. insert it int drive and press F3 or any key to boot with cd. It's then very simple just do as pc says. In format using type choose NTFS next just proceed as directed and you are done.

Can I install Windows XP Professional on an Emonster 600 ?

Yes you can...

Installing Windows XP on a Emonster 600 is the same process as installing Windows XP on any Windows-compatible personal computer. The process is not difficult, and can be completed quickly.

#1 Insert the Windows disc and restart your computer. When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press a key. Windows will begin the set-up process.
#2 When a list of hard drive partitions appears, delete each of them by pressing "D" to delete and "L" to confirm deletion. When finished, you should only have one choice: "unpartitioned space."
#3 Press "Enter", then format using the NTFS file system. Do nothing while Windows begins to install.
#4 Wait for Windows to restart. When the process continues, enter the product key, the time and time zone, and your name when prompted to do so. Allow the installation to continue; it may take some time.
#5 when Windows restarts again, continue the process using the on-screen instructions. The process will vary depending on your hardware configuration.
#6 Connect to the Internet and activate Windows once you reach your desktop. If you can't, you can also activate Windows over the phone. Installation is complete.

Can Windows 7 be installed on X05? I get ACPI incompatible BIOS and have updated to last known one. Please help!

The only issue i can see is if your your ram has not been updated since leaving the factory, you will notice from the tables W7 requires a min of 1GIG and your machine leaves the factory with 256mb(dependant on country possible) so check your ram. I run windows 7 on 2GB and its great, your machine will take 2GB. The Samsung X05 was released 2004 and the NVIDIA Geforce 4 should be fine. i would point out drivers and compatability but windows 7 so far is really good but driver support is crucial
hope this helps

Here's What You Need to Use Windows XP Professional • PC with 300 megahertz or higher processor clock speed recommended; 233 MHz minimum required (single or dual processor system);* Intel Pentium/Celeron family, or AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended
• 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)
• 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space*
• Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor
• CD-ROM or DVD drive
• Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

you may/will also need software drivers for all hardware eg: printer, sound card, video card...good to gather BEFORE you upgrade.
Soooo, if you have the required compnents and some free time and a little patience it can be done.
Just buy a xp pro cd if you haven't one already and git er done..

yes, a 400 mhz processor can run windows xp, but you will want to have a LOT of ram. i would not recommend it unless you have at 256-512 or more ram.

windows 2000 can get along with 128-256 ram.
