Sir,
Here is the link you need for all the drivers and manuals for that motherboard. Just choose your operating system and it will take you to your drivers.

Hi.
That usually occurs when you install XP and the SO is trying to find the SATA drivers but the XP disc does not have them, you must find the drivers and save them in a new disc which also contents the software needed to install W XP.
Good luck.
If all else is working fine except the sound it seems its got the wrong drivers installed or there is a fault with the onboard sound. All the latest drivers are on the Asus website but you have not said which operating system you are using so i cant give you a link to exactly what you need. You can get back to me if you need or have a look on the website yourself http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us if all else fails PCI sound cards are pretty cheap i just bought a 5.1 channel sound blaster card for $21 cheers from Scott and plz dont forget to vote
ur motherboard has a disk containing the drivers needed for components like the vga card.. sound card (if integrated onto the motherboard), local area network (LAN) etc..to work.. this disk probably came along with ur computer.. unfortunately.. when you formatted th hard drive and reinstalled windows u got rid of all these drivers and they must be re-installed in order for these components to work..
if there is no disk present you can download drivers straight from the manufacturers website by typing in th make and model name of the sound card..or of the motherboard if p.c has a soundcard integrated onto the motherboard) into the address bar (the bar at the top normally..this begins with http://) you can find these details by going to start > all progs > system tools > system information > components > sound.. this will display the name and model etc of th card.. once on the manufacturers website there is usually a link for downloads to follow..
alternatively go to start > control panel > system > hardware > open "device manager" > once open look in the list for any yellow explanation marks anywhere..right click on any item showing this and delete..then restart the pc.. once it has restarted th pc will automatically detect new hardware and look for drivers.. often the best move now would be to rollback the drivers when given the option but this wont work after a disk format because th format clears th hard drive of everything..including updates and drivers so.. if you DO have a disk supplied with your pc carrying the required drivers (most new pc's will have this supplied with several other disks required to install software or applications...... this is far the easiest method of installing drivers
