How do I replace a hose diverter in a single handle Kohler kitchen sink?

The hose has suddenly stopped working, but underneath the sink is dry, indicating it is not leaking. I've watched the videos for replacing a diverter in a two-knob kitchen sink (removing cap and diverter and replacing the diverter). There is no cap on a single faucet handle. Are there "how-to" videos available?

There should be an o-ring on the mating surfaces of the hose and the faucet that my be missing.  It could also me that the big washer in side of the faucet (under the cartridge) has been shifted.
I doubt it is the cartridge itself, always try the cheap ideas first.

Hi mkufs1,
Did you remove both screws from the handle?

If so, then try using a bit more muscle on it or rapping it with a wrench with a towel wrapped around it to protect the finish. A lot of times the handle will be stuck because of deposits built up from the leak.

Good luck. If the helps, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

Handie Andie

Kohler Fairfax single control kitchen sink faucet

Remove the air-irater at the end of the faucet where the water comes out. That is where 99% of clog are on faucets. If that does not do it then you need to replace the cartridge.

Good Luck and please rate 4 thumbs up for the free answer.

Are you sure the spray handle is allowing the valve to open enough to allow enough water through? The problem it seems like is physical or mechanical. I am assuming you get good water flow through the faucet itself.
