It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/PUMP MOTOR/DRAIN to work when it is commanded .If this does not happen then the voltage at these points must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage/drive from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

Check how to remove the control panel: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/dishwashers/a/3/1287/how-to-replace-a-hotpoint-dishwasher-fascia-p.html

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor. The water pressure must be good and the spraying must be seen to be good. If there is low pumping or pressure then the spray arms will not turn around to inject with pressure. If so the pump must be checked for clogging.

To replace check this link:

HOW DO I STARTS MY WASHING MACHINE AGAIN CAUSE IT ALWAYS `IE` ERROR EVEN I ALREADY CLEAN THE FILTER,CHECK HOSE,THIS ERROR HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE USE IT MANUAL WHEN NO WATER IN SERVICE,I MEAN HE MANUALLY

The IE or E1 error or fault code indicates that the washer is not filling with water. Check to be sure the water supply valves are open. Also, check to be sure the water supply hoses aren't kinked or clogged. Next, remove the hoses from the washing machine and run water into a bucket to test the pressure and flow of the water. If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve
If you are trying to use the machine manually, there needs to be enough water in the machine to tell the level sensor when to switch off the water inlet solenoid valve. Failing this, the machine will only show IE (Inlet Error) and refuse to work.

Why the Washing machine doesn't fill water?, I tried to clean the water inlet filter, the drainage filter but still water doesn't go.

Check operation of the water inlet valve, check listening the "click" sound when you start operation of the washer machine, also check if the valve has some type of abnormal sound

Service mode reset

does your machine have a drain trap-clean that out-if you still are getting the message, there may be a problem with you drain pump-check it for blockage. the check inlet means you have a water supply problem-either blockage or no pressure coming into the machine-both supply and drain can get clogged and bring your laundry to a halt-cheers Denny

Leaking water from the hose connections

Had the same problem w/the water inlet w/initial installation. When the water inlet was hooked to the faucet and into the washer, water leaked on the washer end. The manual tells you to put a new "flat" washer (provided) in the washer machine water inlet, but water still leaked. It's actually the not flat washer, it's more of an "U" shape washer that goes into the washer machine water inlet and fits right over the filter in the water inlet valve. Leak was solved, but faucet was on and water was not filling in the drum. Turn power on, select cycle, water level, and press start and water should start filling the drum.

Whenever I use it ,it stops at 15' and the delay button will be flashing, If I swicth if off and start again it will start again from 15' and stops without draining the clothes. Please help!

Please check the inlet flow at the inlet valve and also the water level sensor. If the water flow is low then the time taken will be more and so it can cause errors.
So remove and clean the inlet valve/filters , check the water level sensor and also check fianlly the drain pump for dirt clogging and not allowing free flow drain.
Finally check the controller outputs with a meter to confirm the program controller.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sounds like it is waiting for water.
If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,

What does error code 6P mean on an Amana washer model LW9203W2B

SH: Open thermistor. Unplug appliance and let rest for 15-30 minutes, then plug back in. If code continues, unplug appliance and call for service.

bP: Pressure switch error sensed. Washer will not operate when this error is displayed. Check for pinches or kinks in the water inlet hoses and straighten if necessary. Check the water inlet hoses filter screens and clean if needed. Verify that the water supply is turned on. Unplug washer and let rest for 15-30 minutes, then plug back in. If code continues, call for service.

rP: Water supply problem in spin cycle. Check for pinches or kinks in the water inlet hoses and straighten if necessary. Check the water inlet hoses filter screens and clean if needed. Verify that the water supply is turned on. Unplug washer and let rest for 15-30 minutes, then plug back in. If code continues, call for service.

LO: Lock Out mode. To activate, press START and STOP/OFF pads at the same time. To deactivate, repeat the procedure.

AU: Flashes when a factory preset cycle is put on hold. A normal function.

Clean Filter: Flashes when a cycle is selected as a reminder to clean the filter before starting a cycle for optimum drying results. Code clears when the door is closed and the START pad is pressed.

Will not pump water into machine to start cycle

no, it is not in the draining cycle. it is in the water inlet solenoid. check if there is power to the water inlet solenoid and check also if there is water going into the unit.

if there is power to the solenoid, then check the water inlet filter, it could be clogged also.

as you remove the hose to the water inlet valve, check the crisscross plastic at the center of the inlet valve, that is the inlet valve water filter. clean it if it is dirty or clogged.

if there is no power, check the wires that goes into it. make sure that it is connected properly to the valve

F21 stands for no water flowing to the unit. it has this water flow sensor. it senses if there is water flowing tio the unit. if there is no water after 5 minutes, the alarm will flash.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Cold water inlet not opening

Check the filter on the cold water inlet first to make sure it is not blocked. Next check the cold water solanoid. Take it out. Clean it, let it dry.
