Canon pixma mp160

I am trying to reset my printer after refilling the ink cartridge. It is a canon PG40. Both printer lLED and on screen register the printer cartridge as empty. I have tried to get the printer to reset by pressing the reset and tools buttons. Reset does nothing but set off the LED 'alarm' light. Tools button comes up with codes A H Y P U L 6 J. Any ideas or knowledge on how to get them reset to acknowledge the ink cartridge as no longer empty?

I could not care less about Jack boy and his credentials. solution #1 is no solution at all. If there is a solution hidden in all of the advertising and selfpromotion I did not find it. Stop wasting my time with all the crud. I will look elsewhere for help.

Waht kind of cartridge is used for canon printer K10282

Your machine is a Pixma MP160. It can use either the PG40 or PG50 Black cartridges, and the CL41 or CL51 Colour cartridges. These can be refilled, but the cartridges have a memory function that will need you to bypass the printers cartridge level calculator. Your cartridge refiller should be able to provide you with instructions for this.

Color ink cartridge does not print in full colors

Canon printers do not like the refilled ink cartridges. After having ruined a few printers trying to "save" money. I went back to genuine Canon ink and have never had a problem since.

Need help with my printer canon MP190

I refilled my MP190 Black cartridge PG-37 by drilling a hole in the top (roughly in the middle) and using the syringe supplied with the ink refill kit. To make the printer work again, press and hold down the Stop/Reset button (on bottom right hand side of printer) for at least 5 seconds until the display reads 1 again. This bypasses the ink level detector and is explained in the trouble shooting section of the on screen manual supplied on the printer installation CD. It works. It then happened again with the colour cartridge, so I repeated the process. It worked again. This should also work for the PG40 and CL41 cartridges.

Canon mx310

Canon cartridges have an intelligent chipset to prevent them from being refilled. To have them working properly you need to reset the chipset.
Try the software on this link.
If the above did not work you will need to use a cartridge chip resetter if you want to refill your cartridge.
