Screen won't turn on --flashing green/solid green power light

I have a projection screen Mitsubishi WD 62725 and the screen never appears when I turn on. It is plugged into a surge protector. The light is either a flashing green or a solid green, depending on when I hit the reset button. After about a minute, the Tv automatically powers off. Is there something that I can do to fix this reasonably? I just ordered a lamp replacement but I don't think that is the problem.

TV WILL NOT TURN ON , GREEN FLASHING LIGHT IS ON CONTINUOUSLY WHEN UNIT IS PLUGGED IN . WILL NOT RESET WITH USE OF RESET BUTTON . TV HAS BEEN REPAIRED ONCE ALREADY FOR THIS PROBLEM WHEN IT WAS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD AND HAS HAPPENED AGAIN . IT WOULD NOT BE  WORTH REPAIRING IT AGAIN , UNLESS THERE IS A USER SERVICABLE FIX  THAT CAN BE OFFERED .

Your main boards are bad. They are no longer available, You have to have the chasis rebuilt. Mitsubishi is rebuilding these chasis. You have to pull it without any cut wires & ship to Georgia.

Hi,
If the led light flashes green continuously, the fault came from the DM power supply. The faulty parts there are the electrolytic capacitors. Let me know if your handy with electronics and I will assist you to fix it yourself.
