Sometimes a gadget just gets confused and restoring factory settings can fix that problem. Go to menu-tools-settings-general-factory settings the phone asks Restor original settings phone will restart press yes it asks for security code. The default code for nokia is 12345. If this doesnt work enter this code *#7370# and the phone will reset. You then set it up as new

this may be a hardware problem now if you are a technician you need to open your phone and check to see if the volume up button is still soldered in place or use the schematic diagrams to trace the fault

I did the reset and its OK BUT there is an issue with turning the volume up. I removed the case and found that the up volume sensor is not fitted. So I connected the headset and increasing the volume is done by using the buttons on the headset connector. I guess that it is designed to work that way ?.

It doesn't produce volume

It should occur by this
  • Volume is muted or too low.
  • Speaker is turned off or disabled.
  • Headset/earphones are plugged into the device.
It should work:
  • Increase your device's volume.
  • Turn ON or enable speaker output.
  • Unplug or remove headset/earphones.
  • Use the Mobizen X Gameduck Earphones

How to fix Bluetooth wireless earbuds paired and connected to my device but no sound

Make sure that the pair on your output device states paired for phone and music. It can still pair for phone and data but not pair to stream music. This is common on android devices especially. If this be the case, unpair the device and forget (delete) the earbuds on your output device. Ensure any bluetooth devices like amazon Alexa, TVs and other common things are powered down. Turn the bluetooth on the output device off, then back on. Search for earbuds and follow manufacturer procedures to sync earbuds. Once found, pair. Ensure when a successful pair happens that they are paired for phone and music. It will tell you on the output device if the pair was successful for both. At this point make sure your volume settings are not muted or all the way down and you should be enjoying music if you have an app playing music.

How do you turn volume up and down on a motorola WX295 phone

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. If you are trying to listen to your music, what do you need to do to turn your volume up or down is just to follow this steps.

1.Find "Music player" on your menu settings
2. Press "Play" to play the music
3. While music is playing all you need to do is to press the Up or Down arrow on the navigation key to turn the volume up or down.

You can also changed the volume of your cellphones by changing your "Profile" settings.
You can also try to look for "My settings" on your main menu and under "my settings" choose "more settings" to adjust the volume of your cellphones.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for using Fixya,

My Sony Vaio VGN-FS690P has stopped playing sound. The sound card states it is working correctly. It does play one sounds, the sound when it starts and show the VAIO screen.

Hopefully this helps. Right click on your volume control icon. Open the "Volume Mixer," and make sure that nothing has the mute X on. Then right click on "Volume Control," and make sure that the volume control is checked to play all sounds, and that your Speaker box is checked. Next step is your music, if the sound was muted directly @ the music playback, this could be the problem. Open your Media Player and try to play music, if you cannot hear it, click on the mute button to the song playing. If your Player was shut off in the "mute" mode, then you will not hear sound. It Happened to me once. You will need to check all of your "Players" to see if any of them were shut off in "mute."

Dvd rom will play cd with sound it will play dvd with/out sound

Well the good news then is that its not a hardware problem, it is most likely one of the issues below:
1- Vista muted the player that you are using: Launch the player and then at the bottom right corner by the time click on the volume control and select mixer. It should list all the programs you have open. In vista you can mute a selected program, make sure all programs are not muted
2- The volume control is turned down on the Toshiba laptop: On Toshiba laptops there is a volume dial control located either on the front or around the sides, make sure that it is not turned down. play a song and try adjusting it both ways
3- Conflict with another Video/Audio Player : Un-install any newly added media software.

Completely Wacky 'Sansa e260'

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings. That will be the only way

Won't play My music i downloaded

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Music Player Won't Play - 'muted'

I don't think that I can suggest a precise fix for your problem. I would probably go about backing up my contacts and data. I would then 'hard reset' the phone by dialing *#7780#
