Question about Navigon 7100 GPS Navigator GPS Receiver
I solved this problem.
The backup is just a copy of the files on the SD card. I made one a couple of months ago when everything was working ok. I tried to erase the SD card so I could restore the backup manually. I ran into an error with a SD card file that wouldn't erase. I ended up formatting the SD card then copying the old backup files to it. That took care of the problem and now the Navigon works the way it's supposed to.

This can also be caused by a low battery.
make sure your battery is fully charged

I have the same problem. Mine started giving the error message after I updated the maps and checked the preferences last night. The map was zoomed all the way out and wouldn't respond. After I used the reset button to try to get it going again I started getting "Application MN6.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down." I tried restoring a previous backup but it didn't change anything.
I have the same problem with the Navigon 7100. I bought this product on line about a year ago. I started to use it recently within the last week and it seemed to be working fine. However, I could not erase a route 34 error or whatever it was called and then I got some kind of error message that was in the form of a yellow triangle warning and I was completely shut down. I had my 7100 plugged into my car while driving and when I got home I decided to charge it again thinking that was the porblem. The system lights up with an hour glass turning up and down. No sound and the unit is completely frozen. What's causing this ? I paid a lot of money for a unit that is not working properly. I will appreciate your help and advice.
Thank You,
Alex
