I think someone tried to open the door when it was in drying mode. Now It is hard to open. It is sticking on the left side.
Jenn-Air JDB1250AWS Diswhasher. It is 2 years old and the door has started sticking on the left hand side. It is not clear what is happening but it seems like it might be the left hinge.

You broke it!!!!!!! Check out the wiring associated with on/off cycle. There might also be a switch by the door designed to not allow unit to turn on when door is open - check it out. It might not be engaged if the inner panel of door is not properly hitting the switch.
The door tension is set with a spring. You need to pull the unit out part way and look on the left and right side bottom area near the front. The spring can be adjusted by selecting a different hole in the bracket that it is attached to.
This happened to me. After replacing the board for $100, still happened. I messed with it myself...
Reach under the counter to where the "catch" is. Mine is white plastic. Mine had a bit of movement side to side (like 3mm). Try sliding it to one side or the other and see if the door will shut.
I spent $100 I did not need to spend and hand washed dishes for 6 days waiting for the part!
Good luck
Latch is locked, but the door is open, panel will not light up. Tried to close door after loading, wouldn't close, water started running, tried to figure out what was wrong, something in the way, etc, but nothing. Then water sprayed all over, started pushing buttons, and finally it quit, now latch is locked, but the door is open.
I would check for obstruction in the path of the door spring areas. If appropriate, remove the bottom access panel (typically 2 screws); open/close the door in attempt to observe the inside bottom left and right for the clicking sound.
If not already done so, also ensure your dish-washer is raised of the floor a little bit; leveled and properly secured to counter top with 2 screws.
Hi, Most dishwashers do not have steam vents! there are several reasons for poor drying in a d/washer! The first one is to see that you have rinse aid in the machine as this aids drying! Next if you have rinse aid then is it being put into the machine when it needs it? Also you must bear in mind that the dishwasher need to heat on the last rinse to create the heat to dry the items which use the steam to dry them. Check the rinse aid first and see how you get on....
Let me know.......
disassemble front door to get to the latch. Check if the latch is properly in place, sometimes the metal cylinder that hold it in place, slips out of position.
first hting do you use a rinse agent( jet dry ?) perhaps s you're not selecting heated dry as an option.as far as the smell if its musty form water left behind, using jet dry will evaporate more of the water (a small amount on a paper towel and wipe down the inner door and walls will also decrease moisture, doenst to be done every time either on ly as needed might be once a year. if the smell is anything else id look into perhaps hoked to a garbage disposer?? smells permeate back into d/w.
