My ice maker does not make ice but water does run to front of fridge plz Help ????

I can't make out the words in your picture so there is not a lot of information to go on, but I will give it a try. If yours is like my refridgerator, there are a couple of off switches for the ice maker. One is on the control panel like the one you tried to photograph. Mine selects crushed ice, cubed ice, or ice off. The other soff switch is the lever switch that sits over the ice cube reservoir inside the freezer and shuts off the ice maker when the reservoir is full. If this lever switch is stuck in the up position you will make no ice. You say that water runs out of the front. Another problem that I once had with my ice maker was that the plastic housing around the ice cube tray cracked. One tray of ice cubes was made but when the ice maker flipped the tray over to expel the ice cubes the cracked plastic prevented any torque on the tray and the ice cubes would not come out. When the tray returned to the upright position new water would flow onto the tray, but since it was already full of ice cubes the water would simply overflow into the ice bucket reservoir. It did this over and over until I had an ice sculpture in my freezer and reservoir instead of ice cubes.

I have a whrilpool refrigerater the ice maker will not fill with water?

Bonjour,
Ice makers can clog. The water valve can stick open or closed or even not work at all. The water fill nozzle can clog with ice or food. If the unit has been moved the water line could be kinked or the water filter may be clogged. Maybe the water valve for the ice maker water line is turned off. Is there one under the sink? Inside most ice makers there is a thermostat that tells the ice maker that the water is frozen and it's time to dump the ice cubes. That starts a geared motor running to dump out the cubes. And in some cases a mold heater is turned on to help break the ice cubes loose. A lot of ice makers have a cam attached to the motor that turns with the shaft. When the ice cubes are gone the cam starts a timer to refill the ice maker with fresh water to make some more ice cubes. Most "fill" cycles of ice makers are "timed fill". The fill cycle has to start and stop to get fresh water into the ice maker. There may be another thermostat that monitors the air temperature where the ice maker is mounted. If that thermostat thinks the air is not cold enough to freeze water nothing happens. If all the steps don't happen at the right time no ice cubes are made.

I have a Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator Model #G17FVCXWY and the ice maker jams up about once a month (ice doesn't completely dump into the door bin, water refills into the ice maker, then refreezes to...

HI, we have the same problem with ours from time to time. It is a engineering flaw, bad design, the ice cubes are kept in the refrigerator section, which is about 38-40 degrees. So the ice cubes melt, the only way to keep it clear is to use ice cubes every day and not let then thaw and freeze.

Is it true that if you remove the white box where the ice cubes fall into, that it will stop the ice cubes from being made? I am interested in temporarily stopping the ice cubes from being made (4 months...

Removing the box may stop ice making on some refrigerators but not all. Look for an on-off switch inside your ice maker. Turning it off will not only stop the cubes from forming but in some cases will also stop the freezing action so you should remove any cubes that are there or they will melt and the melt water will run out of the ice maker. If there is no on-off switch you can raise the sensor arm up or block the ice detector beam to trick the ice maker into a "full" mode. That will stop the ice making function but not the freezing function. You could also turn off the water supply to the refrigerator if you do not need the water dispenser to work when you are not making ice cubes.

Ice maker trap door does not close tightly, ice cubes become one big cube and water drips from the ice cube trap door. need some adjustment to this door so cubes do not melt and water run out of storage...

Remove the dispenser cover by gently prying starting at the bottom going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it. When it's off the screws will be exposed to access the other components.
There is a solenoid that operates the door that could be sticking.
The hinge on the door could be broken or the bracket it goes in could be broken. The spring could also be off or broke. You'll have to look to see what's wrong.

Not dispensing ice cubes, only crushed

Yup, do like I did. Clean the caddie of all ice cubes. Place a large water catching tray under the door, and run hot water from the inside where the the caddie holds the ice. You will see large chunks of ice that was freezing up your cube maker. After a couple of glasses of hot water pouring through the caddie, it will defrost and the frozen part will be released. Take off the caddie, and run water through it from your sink. Clearing all ice debris. Replace the caddie. Do not use for 24 hours, and it should run beautifully. Mine did that before it froze up and I cleaned it. You should probably take the caddie off every couple of months and run water through it to keep it clean of frozen debris, make sure its dried off well and put it back, wait overnight. and it should be ok.
This is what I did, hope it helps.

Ice cube shape

hoshizakis make ice cubes depending on the amount of water in the sump. if you are starving for water the sump only partially fills in the fill time allowed . then it makes ice until the water is used up and the float switch drops and the cubes are little slices. you can adjust the size of cubes you want by raising or lowering the float assembley in the sump. if its to low the water rises and the float rises and tells the machine you happy with little slices. if you raise it up to max height you can max fill before float satisfies and max ice cubes. But if you are starving for water the time to fill will run out before the sump fills and cubes will be small no matter where you set the floats assembly. water starving can be due to crud in the water line, to small a water line, most hoshizes take a half inch line ,or a clogged water filter. if you suspect a filter take it out . if fill is drastically improved you need a new filter. be aware that starving for water on a hoshizaki will eventually lead to broken evap plates. big time expensive.good luck. i put in a new machine ruined by starving water and the new one made little chips of ice real quick. i finally pulled the filter out and voila! big cubes and great production.

Scotsman CM250AE Ice Machine tech help

Check the bridge size adjustment at the top of the metal grid that the ice forms on. This determines the size of the cubes. Whenever you make a repair on the water system, especially on an older unit. make sure the unit is clean. A little bit of calcium deposits (or that other nasty looking stuff) getting into the passage ways will make it run erratically, and can drive you nuts.
