Visit MENDINGSHED.COM.

On the left, click KITCHENAID. On the next page, click KITCHENAID BLENDER PARTS. On the next page, you will see a listing for a drive coupling. You want to choose on the left, which is retailing for $5.95.

You may order the part if you need it. If not, click onto the parts order page and scroll down. There will be a two-step instructional guide on how to properly replace the coupler.

SOURCE: Whilst blending some vegetables I accidentally

Hi, you have broken the coupler (sometimes called a coupling). It is relatively cheap and easy to replace. In the UK, K A Parts Limited sell them here and provide removal instructions here.

There is no infomration to suggest that the blender blade could be removed for replacement of a seal

On page 27 of the pdf (page 24 if printed) there is contact information for ordering replacement parts. You might ask if the blade assemly can be ordered and replaced separtely but I believe you must replace trhe blender jar and blade unit as one piece.

Kitchenaid ksb540ero coupling

Drill a hole in the rim flange at the top. Engage a screwdriver in the new hole and whack it with a heavy hammer. You are trying to spin the coupling in the same direction it turns when the motor runs. This solution ALWAYS works if you do it right.

That part fits the top of the beaker to prevent the foods splashing out when blending.

How do I remove the black rubber rotating bit on the Kitchen Aid Blender?

My clever hubby made a spanner (piece of metal with a slot cut into it) that fits round the spine under the plastic cog and then using pliers he could just unscrew the offending piece. Use masking tape to protect the top of the blender. Thanks for previous suggestions though as it saved going to a repairer and paying unnecessary costs. Cheers.

I'm having a hard time disassembling my Kitchen Aid blender. Does the container come apart from the screw on the underside, detaching the plastic from the glass?

Have a look at the instructions here:
http://kitchenaidblenders.co.uk/KitchenAidBlenderGlassJugJarDisassembly/tabid/157/Default.aspx

This is for the glass jar which may be slightlt different.
