Your wheel may be stuck because dirt has worked its way into the wheel. I have 3 ideas-- 1) Get a can of computer duster, and try blowing the dirt out from around the wheel, outside and inside edge.
2) Sansa Fuze user 'tenzip' suggests dipping the player, while turned off, in DISTILLED water, if you believe the wheel has something sticky and water-soluble-- THEN let it drain, THEN put the player in a bag of uncooked rice for up to a week. The rice will pull the rest of the water out of the player. Full discussion may be found here;
3) If 1) and 2) fail, you may want to try opening the player, disassembling and cleaning it, and then putting it back together. Directions with pictures can be found here;
A) Are you using the correct scroll action - this device scrolls by twistin the circle control around (no pressing down) or B) Backup your muic. Do a factory reset. Test. Then probably do a software update
I've had the same problem with my Sansa Fuze 2GB. It's pretty frustrating, but in order to get it to work, I let it sit without touching it or doing anything with it for a few days. For 2-5 days, do not turn on your Sansa Fuze. After the amount of time has passed, try the soft reset again.
the sansa fuze is the best to get because it is less prone to scrathes, glitches, problems with the screen,ect. the sansa fuze also comes with free rapsidy for roughly 15 days. the sansa e200 series has quite a few problems. the screen on mine is busted T_T, so i have to buy a fuze. My friend has a fuze and hes had i for 4 years. it still work great. just dont drop it from heights of over 40 feet and even then it will still probabilly work.
Best Of Luck Trying to find a sansa. P.S i wouldn't go with an ipod, they get brocken to easily trust me i would know.
