When you use the Colors window to select colors for text or objects in a document, you can also assign a color profile to the document. Color profiles help ensure that the colors you see in the document onscreen match the colors in the document when it's printed or viewed on another computer.
To choose a color profile for a document:

  1. In your document, select the text or object whose color you want to change.
  2. Open the Colors window.
    In some applications, you can open the Colors window by choosing Format > Font > Show Colors or Format > Show Colors. In some applications, you can also click a button in the application's toolbar or a settings pane.
  3. Click the Color Sliders button.
  4. Choose a slider option from the pop-up menu.
  5. Drag the sliders or enter specific values to adjust the color.
  6. Click the colored box next to the pop-up menu and choose a profile from the list.
If you open your document and the colors appear in a different shade or hue than you expected, the application you're using might not recognize color profiles. Try using the generic color profiles instead.
In some cases, an application may not open documents that use non-generic color profiles.
You can create your own custom color profiles using ColorSync Utility. For more information, open ColorSync Utility and choose Help > ColorSync Utility Help.

How do i fix a discolored stainless steel roasting pan that was accidentally left in the oven during self cleaning

Considering the number of stained stainless steel pans I have seen thrown away I don't think any method is successful as the discolouration caused by overheating is likely the first few microns of the surface have been penetrated by a naturally occurring oxidisation and any contaminants present at the time.

As metal is heated the surface reacts with the oxygen in the air and the resulting oxidisation changes colour depending on the temperature. A lot of variables are involved but a light straw colour can form in the first few atoms of the surface at a temperature as low as 350F and deep yellow/brown by around 450 (in a clean atmosphere).

To remove the staining the surface of the steel would have to be removed...

Try plugging in an external monitor and see how the display shows on it. If the display is ok on the external then your LCD Screen is going bad. If it shows the same colors on the external monitor then your video graphics card has issues.

Colors not matching computer

It is possible your colour cartridge has cross contaminated the ink reservoirs. To check this take the colour cartridge out and turn it over to see the coloured pads. They should look red, dark blue, and orange ( the colours are actually Magenta, Cyan, and Yellow, but are concentrated). If any of the pads are pale or particularly green - change the cartridge.
If the colours look alright, your issue is probably that your monitor makes colour by emitting light frequencies so is bright, printed images make colour by absorbing light frequencies so will always be darker. There is always the issue of course that your monitor also has a colour "temperature" bias. Photo pros calibrate their monitors and printers to match.

Monitor changed to yellow colour.... what is the problem...?

Monitors mix the 3 "primary" colours, in various proportions, to produce all other colours.

Mix equal parts of all 3 colours, and you get WHITE.
Mix equal parts of only 2 colours, and you get YELLOW.

So, either:
1. your computer's video-card is not sending the 3rd colour;
2. your video-cable between the computer and the monitor is broken, and is not transmitting the 3rd colour;
3. your video-cable is not TIGHTLY connected at each end;
4. the electronics inside the monitor that SHOULD be producing the 3rd colour have failed.

Try connecting the monitor to a different computer, with the same video-cable. If it works correctly, your video-card is the problem.

Try connecting the monitor with a different video-cable, to see if replacing the cable fixes the problem.

Try connecting the monitor to a different computer, with a different video-cable. If it still is incorrect, then the monitor needs repair/replacement.

Oven top has stains that cannot be cleaned

If your oven is not a glasstop and is the colour WHITE there is a ceramic touch up you can buy, this paint is high temperature and can be used to cover chipped areas easily. the part number is 12W. If you do not want to paint over these stains I would try a heavy degreaser called spray nine. if your stains are caused by heat warping or changing the tops structure you may have a temperature issue.hope this helps.

Thanks
