I just bought a msi 7297 motherbopard from ebay brand new but it came with no manual , so can someone tell me were to put the pwrbutton, pled , reset switch wires etc in the front panel
With the motherboard in the case and the back of the case away from you the front panel pins are on the front left of the motherboard. They will have simple labels;
PWR power
RST reset
HLED hard dive LED
PLED power LED
You can get it wrong without breaking it so just keep trying until the right buttons and lights work.

Hi,
Your post for MS 7131 is either a 915GLM-V or a 915GVM-V. Pls verify/determine which of the 2 you have.
In any case, user's manual for either is available here.
Good luck and kind regards.

do you know the make and model of the case?

Hi slider1958,
You want to connect the new case's front sound & mic.
Just about every case will come with a pre-assembled connector for front USB's & sound & mic. Your board has a set of ten pins used just for this. They are loacted just under the boards rear external sound / mic silver housing. Noted in your manual on pg. 15. Named AUDIO1.
Notice there is one pin missing. Line your case connector to match.
The manual is uncleare if you are able to use both rear speaker & front speaker at the same time. I would think not. Newer boards with HD do allow this.
Good Luck & Kind Regards.
