My car sometimes dies when i come to a stop sign or intersection unless i keep my foot on the gas and 1 on the brake.

When you start it, it will run, then as soon as you start driving it is fine until you go to stop and sometimes just slow down and then it dies. It will start right back up with no problems. Doesn't matter if it driven for hours or just a few minutes. Any ideas?

My 1997 Ford F150 Truck,it shudders and dies unless I put it in park at a stop sign? we took it for analysis and they couldn't find the problem,

I have seen this symptom and it is caused by a leaking power brake vacuum booster, when you apply the brakes it creates a huge engine vacuum leak and this causes the engine to run lean and rough and die in some cases. Most likely the shop was looking for an engine issue when it was a brake related problem

Shakes and dies when RPM goes below 1

intake idler unit needs cleaning unit is on the side of the intake not the one that controls throttle the other one. remove and clean out. or spray carb cleaner in to clean out. also clean the connectors on the wiring. should be fine after that, if not you will need to remove it and give it really good clean out.

My 2004 Kia Sedona keeps dying when idling, if I stop at an intersection I keep one foot on the brake and another on the gas to keep it from dying. The Mechanic couldn't find anything wrong--help?

If the vehicle runs well otherwise then tell your mechanic to cleaner the throttle plate and the inside of the throttle body. He might want to remove the IAC motor and clean that area as well. Tell him to be careful with the IAC motor. This is a fairly common attempt at resolving these types of problems, you may want to find another mechanic if he did not suggest trying this.

It starts but will not idle. if you take your foot off the gas it dies. sometimes it will run good and i take it around the block it will die when i come to a stop unless i put it in neutral and keep my...

Possible areas of concern are:
  • faulty MAF (Mass Air Flo) sensor
  • bad EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculator
  • bad TPS
It's most likely a combination of the 3 but the main cause would normally be the TPS (Throttle Positioning Sensor) which regulates engine idle speeds under different conditions.
