Lenovo 3000 C100, mouse and printer problem

Just out of the blue, when I have my 3d optical mouse attached and my printer attached, the mouse won't work. If I unplug the printer then the mouse starts working. Tried mouse in printer port and it works there, but printer won't work in mouse port, Helpppppp!

Where would both the cmos battery and/or RTC (Real Time Clock) on a 41W1158 - IBM Lenovo 3000, C100 Series Laptop Motherboard? i do see a battery on far edge of MB in a blue wrap around circumference,...

You have located the BIOS battery (it is wrapped in heat shrink tubing) and it connects to the motherboard with a lead/connector from the battery.

start

windows update
check for updates

if this does not offer you the update once you have done ALL the updates available

then go to www.lenove.com go to support/downloads and search for the driver
