The 3 blink code indicates that the lamp door is not secure. If you havent removed the door then its probably the switch for lamp door sensor.

I would remove the lamp door and then reinstall it. Do this with the set unplugged then plug it back in and check operation.. Basically sometimes the lamp door switches become dirty and by removing and reinstalling the door it usually corrects the problem..

If this doesnt work then you will need to either have the set checked out by a tv technician or you can try replacing the switch yourself. But as I said normally just removing and reinstalling corrects the problem.. Good Luck!

SOURCE: I HAVE A SONY KDS-60A2000

Hi,
3 times red light blinking indicates that Lamp Cover has not been fixed in its location properly after lamp replacement.
Please make sure lamp cover (its first thing that was removed to replace lamp) is installed securely.
Thanks.

SOURCE: I have no picture and light flashes 5 times

If you pull the right side out (as you look at the front), get you ear down to the fan exhaust area and turn the set on. If you do not hear the fan turn or feel air being blown out, then you have a defective fan. It is a common problem.
Hope this helps,

Why is my sxrd60 picture slow to light up (with sound) but eventually comes on dark?

Hello, it sounds like the lamp has gone bad, use only a genuine sony lamp in that set as a generic lamp may damage the ballast in it. The generation of Sony's were bad about that. the lamp # is. XL5200 tks

Sony kds-60a2000 power light flashes 5 times, no picture

5 flashes - Lamp Driver - (lamp driver faulty)

This is the error code that usually means the ballast (it is the power supply for the lamp) is bad.

My sony is turning on and off when I turn it on. The picture and sound appear and disappear. What is wrong and do you have the part..

Hi,

The most common cause of picture disappearing and returning in a Sony LCD Rear Projection TV is a faulty bulb. Replacing the bulb is the first step in troubleshooting this type of problem in KDS-60A2000 and all other Sony Rear Projection LCD TVs.

Sony Lamp Gallery
shows all Models and Lamps for Sony Rear Projection LCD TVs. KDS-60A2000 uses XL-5200U Lamp.
