SOURCE: my treadmill Proform caliber walk... belts keeps

The deck needs to be lubricated. The lubricant can be purchase @ gympart.com. LUBRICATION PROCEDURE: 1. Turn off and unplug treadmill. 2. Cut off the end of the tube of lubricant. 3. Holding the tube in one hand, insert the tube underneath the treadbelt halfway between front and back and halfway between right and left. 4. Squeeze the full contents of the tube onto the deck in a circular pattern in the center 1/3 of the deck. 5. Plug in2_bing.gif and turn on treadmill, then walk normally on treadmill at 0.5 mph for five minutes

SOURCE: My treadmill won't run, but turns on

It sounds to me like during its move the drive belt came off off the motor that connects the motor to the walking surface. If the motor is not running at all after checking that I would look for a reset on the motor itself and check all connections. Not likely that the motor is fried but that would be the last in line for checking.

Proform tredmill---stops after a couple of steps--will start back up after getting off---motor control board?

Inspect the walking board and belt first.Feel the tecture at the outer edge of the belt, then feel the center. If it feel fuzzy, the walking belt is worn.
Check the walking board for damage, deep scratches, excessive friction will cause an over current shutdown of the controller.
If the walking belt and board are good, lubricate the walking board and belt and try again.
Does the motor spark allot when running?? This will also cause over current.
Have you tightened the belt (too tight??)
After covering these suggestions, if the same problem is apparent, change the motor controller..

On my Sears ProForm 730 treadmill, I cannot make the belt move to the right (it is rubbing on the left side) by turning the left-side back belt screw clockwise (in any amount). The belt is walking back...

The belt does not need to be replaced more than likely. The problem is probably because that adjustment bolt is stripped out causing it loosen and keeping it over on that side. ProForm sells star washers that help them stay steady and not slip out. I would call them and ask for a couple of star washers and a new adjustment bolt for that left side.

How do I best maintain the belt on a Proform 525?

read your manual- there is a small section that states NOT to use silicone/wd-40 on your item. You can use only the lube the manufacture(ICON) reccommends. Sears Parts store or parts on Phone 1-800- FON PARTS your part # is 06-831-135855 it is called walking belt lube The retail store does NOT sell this lube, they do sell the silicone spray-but its for the OLDER treadmills I know this I work on treadmills for the company!!!! with a little work, bypass the retailer, go to the source- they charge less...

Proform 400GI Treadmill making a very loud noise, which is worse when using speeds between 2.7 and 3.1, noise is so loud can't hear tv when turned up to full volume. It makes the noise without anyone...

This definitely sounds like the drive motor. One way to check is to remove the drive belt and run the motor without the walk belt connected. Obviously if you still have the noise it will be a motor issue. If not then it will be one of the 2 rollers. Good Luck! Tim

Proform Crosswalk Dual Motion Cross Trainer Treadmill. motor works great. Rubber on right side under the moving belt has come off so belt slips when in use

I think you are talking about the front roller. It has a rubber sleeve that helps to grip the walking belt. Sometimes you can tighten this enough to keep it from slipping but you run the risk of overtightening and damaging both rollers. We recomend replacing that roller.

Treadmil stops or slows down upon walking.

Check both belts to be sure they are adjusted and not slipping.Check the underside of the walk belt to see if it feels frayed in the center as compared to the edges, the center always wears more than the edges a really worn belt must be replaced. if it is nor worn there is a wax lubricant for proform treadmills that can be purchased at retail stores that sell treadmills.Sears, dicks sporting goods and also treadmilldoctor.com are good places to buy it.
