Is is normally located on the left side of the keyboard just above the control (Ctrl) key. It may say Shift or it may just have a big "up" arrow.
There is also one on the right side of the keyboard just below the "enter" key and above the Ctrl key.

What switch tells that it is in park 2005 ford escape

The shift/key interlock system is malfunctioning causing the problem. Check the key and shift interlock solenoid, under shifter and inside steering column cover. Consult a mechanic please. For a temp fix open and close all doors and then tilt ur steering wheel this may free up the tumbler to take the key out.

How to change the uppercase and lowercase letters

Either by pressing and holding the shift key (on left and right of keyboard, looks like up arrow) while typing, or by pressing the CAPS LOCK key to put capitals on or off. The caps lock key is usually one above the left shift key.
If you cant find them just advise your make and model of computer and I could tell you exactly where the keys are.

The Shift key is not working. I can't type $ or &, what ever the key its need to press shift key. please help

If both shift keys aren't working it is most likely a board. If one works it is probably the keyboard seperating. You can pop the key button off a nd look for debris under it. If there isn't contact Geo. Beyers Co. @ 800392-8085 for a keyboard rebuild. Tell them O'Reilly sent you.

Cant shift out of park without having key in shift lock

With the engine running, you should be able to feel and hear the shift-lock engage and disengage when you slowly press and release the brake. Start her up, turn the radio off, put your hand on the shifter and give it a try.

If you hear or "feel" it, and it won't shift, I'm guessing your linkage is out of whack, perhaps a result of the accident.

If you don't feel it, I'm guessing it's not getting the "unlock" signal from the brake switch. I believe the shift-lock switch is located at the top of the brake pedal assembly, where it pivots up under the dash. There's probably two switches there, one for brake lights, the other for the lock. Crane your head up under there and take a look. If you're lucky its just misaligned in its bracket. Pump the pedal by hand and see if the switches are being allowed to fully open. If they do, and still no shifty, then its off to the repair shop of Mazda Stealership.

Good luck.

Shift key has to be pressed firmly to work.

From what you tell me, it sounds to me like the key or the arms/"rubber-hinges" that holds the button is worn out or broken.

Contact your local dealer or the place where you ordered the laptop.
