If I have weak knees, is jumping rope a good exercise for me?

Yes it is! Jump rope is considered a low level plyometric exercise, a low impact exercise. High level plyometric exercises are bad for weak knees. You should always be careful though. Try to land on the balls of your feet and not the heels and make sure to keep your knees lax. It is always a good idea to consult with your athlete/physiotherapist/trainer.

SOURCE: My daughter has started learning how to jump rope at school and wants one for home use to practice with. What is a good kind of jump rope for a beginner?

I recommend buying her a cloth jump rope. They are inexpensive and great for beginners.

Back Flexion Exercise;
