I had a pattern lock on my acer tablet then one day i was trying to log on but i put in the wrong pattern a few times so it said to type in my google accout email and password,I did that but it didn't work so i went on my laptop and went on my google account and it worked,i changed the password succesfully but when i tried logging on to my tablet it still didnt work.What do i do?

please elaborate on main password, do you mean windows password? if so: 1) download a password reset disk (I can create one for you and email it) for a small fee. 2) boot laptop, when you see acer power on logo, look on screen for recovery or setup. Most likely F2, F6, F10, or F12 key. That will bring you to an Acer recovery menu. You can restore the laptop to factory, however you will lost all your personal data, and will haver the factory loaded software .

What make/model of computer?  What operating system? What BIOS type/version/revision?

There IS a way to reset it without losing the data on the drive. It sounds like he has set up a password in the system BIOS or either password protected an entire volume in Win 200x/Vista.

If he has set a BIOS pw, you can remove the batteries and jumper the CMOS reset pin for a few seconds...IF you can get to it.  If you can determine the BIOS name/version, I can probably put you onto a boot diskette that will clear the BIOS.

For 3 bucks, I'll send the boyfriend a virus!!!   lol

I had also faced the same problem,
I succeed in reseting my Windows Vista password using Windows password Seeker

1.Download Windows Password Recovery from Password Seeker Official site

2.Decompress the Windows password Recovery Tool and note that there is an .ISO image file. Burn the image file onto an blank CD with the burner freely supported by Password Seeker.

3.Insert the newly created CD into the locked computer and re-boot it from the CD drive.

4.After launched the CD, a window pop up with all your account names(if you have several accounts) select one of the accounts that you have forgotten its password to reset it. Just one press, you have Crack windows password.

This is from a factory repair and maintenance manual for Acer Aspire Laptops. It may work for you.

Forgotten Hard Disk Password
When the user keys in the wrong password three times, an error message appears. The user must now reset
the password.
1. Make a note of the error code that is displayed with the error message.
2. Run unlock6.exe from the DOS prompt in the following format:
unlock6 XXXXX 00
(XXXXX = HDD password error code, 00 = CRC base - default is 00)
3. Select Upper case ACSII Code from the screen that appears. The HDD master password is displayed.
Make a note of this password.
4. Reset your system. When the Enter Primary Master HDD User Password prompt appears, enter the
password you made a note of in step 3.
Resetting a BIOS Password
The user can reset a BIOS password using the clnpwd.exe utiility.
1. Copy clnpwd.exe to a DOS boot up disk (or flash drive).
2. Boot your system in DOS mode.
3. Execute clnpwd.exe from the boot up disk (or flash drive).
4. Press 1 or 2 to reset the required password as shown on screen.
5. A confirmation message appears when the process is successful.
