Pretty simply, your Antivirus is blocking Skype from acessing the internet. Personally, I'd uninstall it and use Avast!
Anitvirus, which is free for home users. I use Avast! and Skype together and have had no conflicts. (www.avast.com)
You might also be able to find a whitelist somewhere in Kaspersky;'s preferences, but I''m not familliar with it and cannot tell you where.

I have install skype but cannot get connected with my kaspersky on. When i turn of Kaspersky, it works, how to overcome this problem?

I think Kaspersky Firewall blocking the skype from connecting to internet, go to the kaspersky firewall rules and if skype is blocked then chnange the rule to allow skype to connect to internet.

Best of Luck!

Just installed SKype latest version and brand new Kaspersky with updates, registered etc. Skype "cannot connect" although it says its in teh trusted zone

Sounds like conflicting programs.
Would you be behind a router, a firewall or an antivirus preventing Skype from connecting?
Check the Skype website and see if they have a FAQ to see if they have any answers on Kaspersky.
My recommendation is uninstall both programs, reinstall Skype first and see if Kas will let it run when reinstalled.

Kapersky doesn't license by the user, they license by the machine. So the answer is No as long as you are reinstalling on the same machine.

Internet connection

There could be some remnants of settings left behind by those programs. Go to the Control Panel (Start>Settings>Control Panel, or just Start>Control Panel) and double-click Internet Options.

Go to the Connections tab of that, then go down and click the LAN Settings button. Make sure everything is unchecked on this page.
