You may need to install drivers for the webcam. Go to http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers and go down the menus to your specific laptop, then download and install the drivers.
The webcam turns on whenever you launch a video chat program or a webcam software program. Debut and Photo Booth are two good programs for taking webcam pictures and videos. You can get the free download links in this article.
Ensure the web cam is secured to your personal computer(PC). Most web cams use a "plug and play" principle. You plug the web cam in; it operates. Install the required software for the web cam to operate. This may involve placing a CD in one of the drives, or alternatively, downloading the software from a host site. Always reboot the computer after installing new software. Click on the desktop icon or the program icon to start the program. If the program is correctly functioning, the web cam will start producing an image of its view on the desktop. Adjust the web cam for a clear picture and the view you want. Most web programs will have a icon for "take picture." Left click on that icon or button. The web cam, like a normal camera, will then "freeze" that image and place it in a photo library. Open the photo library and examine the image just taken. Congratulations, you just took a photograph with your web cam.
hmmmm. I tried to find your driver after that serial no ....but its impossible....so you gonna have to find a way to find out her name... My suggestion is ....to download Everest ( from the web ...its a program whom identifies your hardware ...usually the electronic signature ....I'm not sure ...if it will see your web cam if you dont have the driver but its worth trying .... so ...after you know more about the web cam ...I have no troubles locating your driver ....its ussually mather of minutes...so ....good luck! remember .....name is everest
Well, i think you're using some security software such as mcfee or kis or avg. You should go to the window firewall and then you can check it for window live messenger. and then you can enjoy it!
the focus on the front of the cam may be off try turning it left or right
you also should have settings in your camera program to change the focus
do you still have the software
That's your best bet.. Uninstall your original web cam in add/remove programs and try reinstalling it. More likely the 2nd camera slimed the first camera's installation. Uninstalling and reinstalling should freshen up things and fix the settings.
If your web cam is working on the unit itself but fails to open on chats or messengers, do this:
1. Turn off UAC (user access controls), it should be on control panel, user accounts. 2.Test your webcam if it would work now on chats, if not, proceed 3. Download the latest chicony web cam software on support.toshiba.com (you must select your exact model) 4.After downloading, go into programs and features on control panel and uninstall the camera software 5. Install now the downloaded camera software 6.Test your cam, it should work now
