GE JT912-30 single wall oven "help" with F7 - F0 error

GE folks,
I started with a F7 error message. This is what I have done
I turned power off at the circuit breaker removed ribbon cable, put in index card both sides of ribbon cable. Also, cleaned ribbon cable with eraser. Reinserted ribbon cable to ERC board. Flipped circuitbreaker several times to shock sysem. No good results F7 still reappears.
Tried to determine if touch membrane panel or ERC board. With power on disconnected ribbon cable F7 remained off but after several minutes an F0 error message came on. Is that because of the detached ribbon cable? Can I assume since the F7 did not come on the failure is in the membrane touch panel and not the ERC board? Your help is appreciated.

I have a double oven GE Profile. The error message FO appeared. I shut off the circuit breaker for 30 minutes or more and the oven works but without warning FO reappears. FO message means there is short in the clear Off touch button. The only solution replace the complete panel. My cost delivered $328. Ouch!

Error Codes F0 and F7 on G.E. Wall Oven

Hi,

F0 , F1 , F7 - Stuck keypad may mean relay is turned on.

Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

You could have a Tech Sheet from :-

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

The oven controls are not working. then FO shows

If your appliance is newer than 1996 F0 error code is a stuck key pad .
To verify turn off power and access the control panel and remove the ribbon connector that goes from key pad to control board .
Now restore power.
If the F0 code goes away you'll have to replace the key pad .
If it stays it means the control board is bad.

F0 error code on GE wall oven

I had the same FO error. It turned out that the ribbon cable from the front panel was not making good contact where it mated with the circuit board. Remove ribbon cable and clean contacts on ribbon cable. Replace cable and problem should resolve.

Hi,

F7 error code occures due to
A = Function pad button stuck or
B = Bad clock Unstick button or
Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)

Replace the ERC there are ten screws 3 on each side and 4 on the control leave the hex screws alone all you need is a phillip screwdriver.
REMEMBER TO SHUT OFF THE POWER FIRST lift and fold out the control panel remove the ribbon cable and remove the four screws that hold the control board . replace control panel in reverse order.
Good Luck!!

Error message...

The F7 is intended to indicate a stuck START key. However, a design defect may cause a false indication. This can be corrected by adding insulation to the ribbon cable. You can find detailed instructions at my web site. Follow this link:

All of the above must be entered as the address on the same line.

Ge wall oven display says F7

Your problem is most likely caused by a short between sections of the ribbon cable between the touchpanel and the electronic control. The solution is to insert a slip of paper between the sections where it exits the touch panel. See the attached photo. If you have a metal touchpanel, insert slips of paper on either side of the ribbon cable as well. CAUTION: Be certain to turn off the power to the oven before you poke your fingers in and around the touchpanel. My solution has worked for hundreds of folks. Don't worry about the paper burning.
