Unfortunately this problem crops up many times....seems that if the system maintains the status quo it is fine, but when you unplug it for any amount of time it upset the equalibrium of the system and it is difficult to get it back...
The best thing is to be patient....
Unplugg the system again and let it set for an hour or two....then try again...
Sometimes you just need to let it plugged in for a few days till it will start working again...
Seems as though there is no set way to get each and everyone going...so experiment and keep trying and you will eventually get it working...
I could go into all the intricate deatials about what has happened. but it will not help you and would just confuse most people...

Thank you very much for your reply; I think I may have solved the problem by changing the Time settings to 24 Hour, rather than a.m. / p/m. I did this yesterday evening and the radio didn't come on every hour for a few seconds as it had been doing so I'm hoping this solves the problem, although there doesn't seem to be a logical reason why it should! I haven't yet tried setting the alarm function, so I can't be 100% certain that the problem has gone but I am hopeful.

On the basis that I had tried everything else, this seemed to be the only (last) possibility available; once again thank you very much for your reply - I don't know whether this solution is helpful to you.

Its typical everyone has this issue its not just you. Its really common on all EA games mainly Battle Field to have really bad servers and lose connection a lot.

Its gotten better though in Battle Field Modern Combat days it was so bad the servers would be offline for up to 3 hours.

Wait a couple of hours. The other day it was doing that to me so I waited a while and it worked. (Halo 3)

I had the same problem I was told to unplug then reset but still no luck. Mine have been broken since Aug 2006 and seems like it's so hard to find somebody to fix it. Please let me know if you fix yours.
