This appears to be a failure in the circuit board.
As such there is no repair option.
It could be as simple as a slightly loosened connection to an actual component failure
As these things as machine made there a very few repair options or if offered cost nearly as much as new camera

Camera is slow

Use a faster SD card. The write speed number is what you look for. The greater the number the better the card.

When you said new batteries, did you mean a fully charged battery? If so, it could be that your batteries are nat capable of holding a full charge. Otherwise, my suggestion would be to Call the manufacturer for tips or help.

i have this camera and i had the same problem
everytime i put in new batteries like 5 seconds later the battery was exhusted i tried cheap and expensive batteries but nothing seemed to work

on rechargeable batteries, check the mAh on the side, you would need to be about 2300 or more. also the shelf life on some rechargeables may be less than desireable... try lithium digital

Lens & screen show black instead of item to be shot.

You need to go into the menu function to turn the screen on (this feature saves the batterys)

Replace battery sign in New canon A590si camera.

You're using the wrong batteries. You need to purchase lithium batteries. They are quality batteries for high powered, battery operated electronics. Personally, I have a battery charger and use rechargable duracell batteries. (HR6/ DC1500/ NiMH/ 1,2V) Gives you approximately 16 hrs before having to recharge.

Battery exhausted warning

Hello justplainles:

Do the others show the same problem?

Try this: RESET ALL in the menu or setup menu.
If that does not work, make sure that the in the menu (if it is there) you set the battery type to rechargeable not alkaline .
You may try alkaline batteries, if it does the same, the camera may need repair.

Some cameras will not set the battery type automatically.

Kodak Easyshare CX7530 won't stay powered on

SOLUTION: Fot the past two years, fully charged NiMH and new alkaline (generic and fresh Name Brand batteries) in my CX7530 always gave a red light and immediate power off -- symptoms of low batteries. Today I tried it again with the same problem. This time, I folded up a small piece of stiff paper to depress the small Lithium battery module detect switch in the battery compartment, and put my NiMH batteries back in -- it WORKED for the first time in two years! After removing the paper and reinserting the batteries, it still works. I suspect this somehow recalibrates the low battery detect circuit. I hope it helps you as well.

HP Photosmart 120 Digital Camera

You will need to use 2100 mAh or 2500 mAh rechargeable batteries, as others are not powerful enough. To format the card, look in the menu system (or, indeed, in the manual) for the 'format' command.
