Just a comment; most of the coffee maker failures are caused by the premature failure of a thermal fuse that is intended to prevent fire in case the main heater doesn't turn off as it should. Unfortunately, most of these parts come from China and are very poorly made so the point at which they 'protect' is pretty unpredictable, many of them failing at a much lower temperature than necessary. The second most common failure is the thermal switch that cycles the main heater element; these are bimetallic switches that grow 'tired' and the point at which they open and close again gets wider apart until it can take an hour for a 12-cup pot to finish brewing.

SOURCE: Cuisinart DCC-2000 12-Cup Coffee Maker shuts off after brewing

Turn the function knob to Auto Off
Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.

SOURCE: Cuisinart coffee maker turns on but will not brew.

Well, you could try unplugging for an hour. Sometimes that helps, but these have been having a lot of problems (but don't ask their customer service that, they can't admit it but I'm pretty sure they all know it!). I would say call customer service anyway if it's under 3 years old (800-726-0190) after you've unplugged it and let them know what's going on (model and serial # are both located on the bottom of the unit, stamped in the black part). If it's under warranty they can offer you a replacement and from what I hear Cuisinart has been getting in new coffee on demand units (like the one you have) that have fixed the problems. They're on back order right now though, so there will be a wait. Other than that, I would say you don't have many options, unless the store is willing to take it back, because this one is pretty much a goner. Not the first time I've seen it. :(

I cannot brew one pot after another. It seems that the heating element will not cool off so it will not trigger the fresh pot to brew.

Do you turn off the pot before you refill the reservoir to brew the second pot? The heating element should not have anything to do with triggering the second pot. Turn off the coffee maker, change/refill the coffee, refill the reservoir and turn the pot back on. This works on my Cuisinart.

I Have a Cuisinart Automatic Grind & Brew Thermal that when you start brews a small amount of coffee and then shuts off. I shut off grind and start. After I do that it brews a full pot. We have cleaned...

I do love our Cuisinart pot...but find they only last 2-3 years...so my suggestions is: if the pot is still in warranty, call Cuisinart for a new one...they are great about it. If you don't know if it is still in warranty, call them, give them the number and they will tell you.

Cuisinart coffeemaker won't brew

A common problem that can occur with the Cuisinart coffee maker is it will stop brewing, even when there is water ready to be transformed into coffee. The machine still turns on and works like it should, but does not continue brewing an entire pot of coffee, and acts like it has finished brewing even when there is still water sitting in the bin. This type of problem is pretty common among various coffee makers, and usually occurs when there is a problem inside the machine.
One of the best ways to fix this problem is by flushing the coffee maker out with a vinegar solution, which can be made with equal parts of vinegar and water. It should be poured in the same place as the water that is ready to be brewed, and will help to clear out the machine and make it ready to start brewing again. This problem is usually caused by calcium building up within the machine, and the vinegar helps to clear out any blockage to help it start running smoothly again.

Pot keeps shutting off after coffee completely brewed.

This may be an electrical issue, but I would try holding in the on/off button for a few seconds and see if it still displays 2 hrs as the auto-off time. If 2 hrs does display correctly, unplug the unit for 16 minutes or longer - do not plug it back in a single second shy of 16 minutes. Then reset the clock and reprogram the auto-off Try one more time.

If that fails, it may be replacement time.

Cuisinart grind and brew

This happens when the machine needs cleaned. Fill coffee maker with white vineger instead of water. Turn grind off, make sure empty pot is in place. Brew a pot of hot vineger. Repeat. Brew a pot of hot water. Repeat. This process removes mineral buildups inside machine. If you have access to filtered water, start using that to brew your coffee. I do and probably do this process 1 per 6 weeks.

Brand new, first run, leaking?

You must have the carafe lid ON. The reason is the lid has a dome on top that pushes up to let the brewed coffee come down. With the pot off look in there with a flashlight....you'll see that the 1 inch dome pushes up on the spring loaded stem.
You MUST have the lid in place or the brewed coffee won't drain into the pot.

Won't stop beeping

Every part must be snuggly in place.  I took the removable parts out and put them back a second time, and that did the trick.  I must not have had everything in 'just right'.
