Key pad won't open garage door

I have a Craftsman garage door opener, model 3009 53975. The key pad functions fine, unless the door is fully closed. With the door closed and the code entered, it won't open.

If the main light flashes 10 times when the door reverses to the open position it is your door sensors. Make sure the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. Tweak them a little. If you cannot get both lights to come on you have bad sensors.

Can not reprogram key pad on my liftmaster garage door opener ,tried every thing in the book ,hand held works and also i am able to open and close from the multi function door control.

If you are sure the battery is good and this doesn't work then you need to replace the keypad.

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

Have you tried adjusting the antenna position? If you can't find a good position for the antenna, you may want to extend it and bring it close to or outside the garage door opening.

The garage key pad has stopped working

The most common problem for your situation is that the battery in your wallmounted key pad needs to be replaced. unscrew the little screw on the face of the device, remove the battery and replace it with one just like it. Radio shack usually has these batteries

Garage door won't open.

The most common cause of this problem is the door sensors have been bumped and misaligned. They each have a small light that should be lit and not flickering. Tweak them until they are pointed at one another and the lights are lit.
