What is the motherboard in a eMachine 1651-02w?

I have looked every where and can't find the answer to a simple question. What is the motherboard type in an eMachine-02w? Is it an ATX, an ATX mini, or is it a custom job done by the company. I had my eMachine 1641-02w die on me this week and I figured on using the tower to build a new computer but need to know the orginal board in it first.

SOURCE: i have emachine ET 1641-02w check the power supply

I will assume that you have not messed with anything and it just stopped working. So try these steps:

1) Check the power plug, make sure it is plugged into the wall and also into the back of the computer.

2) Check to see that the switch is "On" on the back of the power supply if there is one.

3) Take the case off and look at the power button, try to press it without the case on, perhaps the power button is broken. If that doesnt work try and see if the little wires on the back of the power button are connect and bot pushed off.

4) Check the cables to the power supply, ensure they are connected to the motherboard and not disconnnected.

5) If all of the above do not work, take a power supply from another system and plug it in to *********** board, see if the computer boots normaly then. If that works you can assume the power supply is shot.

Let me know if there is anything else.

Emachine T5234 beeps 5 times and won't turn on

5 Short BeepsYour motherboard is complaining. Try reseating the memory and rebooting. If that doesn't help, you should consider another motherboard. You could probably get away with just replacing the CPU, but that's not too cost-effective. Its just time to upgrade!

My emachine T2958 would not boot. the fans run but no bois nothing. i realise on the mother board alight is on by the letter F.Is it the motherboard ? help please

A good way to tell is disconnect your hard drive's, & CD/DVD ROM's power & data cable. Try to boot.

If you get the same results then you can try & remove any PCI cards from the board, remove your ram stick. Try to boot. If you get an error beep because you are missing ram than this is good.

Replace 1 ram stick back into your motherboard & try again. If it boots then you know the other stick is bad.

If removing all the non-essentials from your motherboard doesn't work then all you have left are the motherboard & power supply. A simply power supply tester or spare power supply will tell you if it is your board or not.

There should be 2 rows of pins in parallel usually around the bottom edge of the motherboard. The markings for which is which should be next to them on the board. HDled+, HdLed-, PwrSw, PwrLed, or something similar.

If you do find them but the hard drive Led does'nt come on it's because the plug for it needs to be turned around the opposite way, Led's only work one way as they are diodes. Same for the Power Led.

If there are no letters near the pins then you would have to find the motherboard manual.

I have an emachine T3828, I have recently reformated my hard drive, And now missing Audio Drivers. I have tried going through Device Manager and doing "Update Drivers", also have downloaded all I can from...

This isn't a sound issue this is a Virtual IRQ issue. Emachines are virtual machines. That means that all of the hardware is emulated by the software through the motherboard. The PCI Simple Controller is the Emulation IRQ. You need to install your motherboard's chipset drivers again. Since Emachines are emulated hardware nearly everything is tied into something else, often the time its things not related to each other. Download http://www.soft32.com/download_182376.html which is a driver for the PCI Simple Com and see if that helps.
